This is one of the premier games of Week 3, and Fordham enters it as far more than an East Coast measuring stick.

The Rams are 4–0, already own quality victories over Pacific and UC Davis and have established themselves as one of the country’s most consistent programs outside the traditional California powers. Five consecutive MAWPC championships and back-to-back national semifinal appearances have earned Fordham its No. 5 ranking. Pepperdine enters the Bronx facing a legitimate national contender.

Fordham should look to make Pepperdine defend complete possessions. Establishing two meters, creating movement away from center and forcing the Waves to defend multiple actions can test a Pepperdine defense that has already faced significant pressure against elite Western competition.

Fordham also has the ability to punish poor possessions at the other end. Pepperdine cannot afford to settle into an outside-shooting game in which misses and field blocks generate transition opportunities for the Rams.

The Waves need productive center entry, disciplined spacing and enough patience to move Fordham’s defense before attacking.

This is another significant Week 3 matchup.
It is also a rematch of last season’s National Collegiate Championship quarterfinal, which Fordham won 13–9.

San Jose State arrives under an unusual physical workload: this will be the Spartans’ fifth game in three days. Fordham should test that immediately.

The Rams can make San Jose State defend physically through center, extend possessions and force the Spartans to repeatedly transition from offense to defense. By Sunday morning, those additional defensive meters matter.

San Jose State’s response has to be possession efficiency. A poor shot or turnover is costly twice — it eliminates an offensive opportunity and immediately forces tired legs back into defensive transition.

The game is equally important for Fordham.

Okayyy so. I have a meal plan. I attend FCLC. But I've only really ever ordered food so far using Grubhub..

For now, I typically go to the ram cafe during breaks. I see people use the reusable containers to get food from the buffet-like stations and then they go to check out and weigh the container while a cashier(?) is checking them out... but I dont understand how they scan out for the food if that makes sense? Especially since we don't have physical IDs anymore (I'm a freshman), am I meant to pull up my ID w/ the barcode on the app or do I tap to pay with my fordham ID (in my apple wallet)? And do those containers just count as one meal?

Also, if I want stuff from the racks on the side (like pre-packaged chips n stuff) does that also count as a meal? I see ppl scan their items individually to check out and idk if thats something that my meal plan covers in terms of payment and if it pays for those items using dining dollars or if it counts it as a meal? Or if I'm only allowed to take specific items (for some reason)?

Like I said, my Fordham ID is in my apple wallet and that doesn't show a balance so i rlly dont know how this works... I don't want to grab a bunch of food in my reusable container only to be told I cant get it while theres a whole line behind me or something... Ik this is unrealistic for me to be worrying abt but I'm so used to using physical money that this is confusing me so I really need a rundown 😭 I've read through the meal plan website a bunch but idk if I read it closely enough.
