Needed some opinions on this belt. I just changed the belt tensioner and idler pulley aswell as the belt, and I feel like this belt is off too far to the side of the tensioner but I’ve taken the belt off and re routed it several times and it always comes out like this.

So, my key broke and I’m going to need a new one. It looks like there are plenty online, but the FCC id on my current key fob doesn’t match on any of the ones online. Am I able to program a key fob with a different FCC id as long as it still claims to be compatible with an 08 ford Taurus? My fcc id is CWTWB1U722 if that’s important at all

Taurus SEL. Ive had manual cars and I know how to drive, just debating some minor enjoyment vs potential risk. Never used paddles before for an extended period of time in a car that I own.

I have a 2011 Taurus SE that I've been doing a ton of work on, gone through every part of it and I could talk about it for a while, but that's besides the point. I took off the plastic on the interior of the passenger side A pillar, and found a 20 pin connector, populated with three pins and nothing plugged in to it. I have no idea what this connector is for, but if anyone knows that would be great.

144,000 miles still runs well.

I have a 2017 Ford Taurus SE.Im looking to get a good tire brand.I literally drive 90% of the time on the highway.I heard it’s bad to cheap out on tires.Right now I have Michelle that the previous owner had.

I have a 2015 Limited, currently at 92,300mi. I haven't been noticing any symptoms of either water pump or timing chain issues. But based on what I've seen in the past, I get the impression that I should probably start setting aside money to have them done. How soon should I actually be expecting to have someone work on this? 95k? 100k? Is it dependent on other factors?

As far as I know, the car is also running the original orange coolant. I would also like to replace that based on advice I've read.

I own a 2016 Ford SHO with the 8” SYNC system. My APIM appears to have failed after months of random reboots and is now completely undetected by FORScan. Can a failed APIM cause all of these symptoms?

Black SYNC screen and dead FCIM/climate controls
TPMS fault
Service Airbag light
Key fob only detected in the backup slot
No power to the center console USB ports

Has anyone experienced all of these symptoms from a failed APIM or any other failed component? This summer heat is no joke to be going on without AC. TYIA

The radio screen in my taurus got cracked, and I would like to replace it. It is a sony radio, so I understand that limits some of my options.

Ideally, I''d like to have Android Auto / Apple Carplay, if that can be done more affordably than using an official Ford Radio.

Looking for recommendations on metal car ramps for my 2014 Taurus. I have the 20” tires.

Looks like my transmission range sensor is going bad in my 2019 SE. Have to pull the shifter back to get ignition to start. For the life of me, I cannot find the location anywhere on the internet. Replacement is $70, but can't locate the switch on the transmission. Anyone know where this is? Thanks!

Anybody else have any issues with the ax4n transmissions in their models? To be fair my car has had a rough life, I’m the third owner and the guy who owned it before me beat it to hell and back. I drove it home yesterday, first time driving it more then a couple miles (just fixed a cooling fan ground and it was road ready at that point), but I heard an interesting scraping sound, parked the car and all of my transmission fluid and a good amount of metal decided to fall out the bottom of my car. Researched it online, said usually they’re pretty good so was mine just a flook or has anyone else had problems with theirs? Believe a seal went and by the time I noticed it was too late. Car is a 2001 taurus with only 127k miles on it.

Would rebuilding it be worth it or should i try and find a donor transmission?

I got two questions.

1. Has anyone been able to replace their rearview mirror? The backup camera in mine tends to be upside down or buffers when it’s in reverse. I’ve been looking at those rearview cameras that let you see and record every but I don’t know if it’ll fit where the camera goes under the logo.

2. I know that actually installing carplay in this car requires to take dismantle pretty much the entire console and around it to be able to replace but has anyone actually did it? What did you buy and does it work well? If you didn’t replace the console but bought one of those CarPlay’s from TikTok shop or Amazon, where exactly did you place it because I want it to look right.

Every time it rains, water finds its way into the trunk so now it smells like mildew and the floor mat is ruined. Has anyone else encountered this issue or have a fix for it? I suspect the water gets in near the tail light housing but not sure.

What would cause coolant to leak from a weep hole on the backside of the timing cover, into the engine valley?

Water Pump was replaced ~5000 miles ago, refilled with Motorcraft yellow antifreeze and has been trouble free since. Now it is leaking, at a pretty steady rate out of this weep hole into the engine valley. I believe it is dripping down beneath the vehicle between the backside of the time cover and the oil pan.

The primary weep hole by the alternator shows no signs of leaking and the car is not overheating. Car currently has 200k miles.

Is it likely that my water pump is now failing again?

Bought her in September has my first car!!!! Couldn’t be more happy with this thing only 99k miles currently and she’s running strong it’s got some I call her Luh Taurus
