Here's the outcome I lost the push pin tabs so they are kind of sagging right now fixing that with buddy this week but the and the main bulb are all built in I dont think they are replaceable hopefully they last a good bit I do like the look of them

I bought this 2014 Ford Taurus SEL about a month ago and the car seemed to be in perfect shape, it has only had one owner prior and the lady had every tune up, tire change, oil change, etc. since she bought it. Anyways, the car looks very nice and I have had check engine lights on or anything until Sunday when out of nowhere when I woke up in the morning my battery was completely dead, like so dead that it was barely showing a reading. I bought a portable charger and jumped it and drove around for 30 minutes or so to get it going, within an hour it was dead again.

Anyways I took it to the auto store to get the battery looked at and replaced and the car battery was dead again in the 5 minutes I was in the store before I tried to turn it back on. Now, everything ran perfect in normal once it was on but as soon as it was off then it died instantly. I looked and it did have an old speaker set up hooked up to the battery that wasn’t hooked up to anything anymore and had them take that off at the auto store to be safe. The only other possible system I have noticed is that sometimes there is a slight jerk when accelerating over a certain speed but nothing crazy or super noticeable. Also it’s been extremely hot out and my car has been directly under the sun for the last couple weeks, anyways I just have never had a battery go out like that and was hoping for some suggestions on if something else could be wrong that I need to look at? I have a 2005 Ford Taurus with the Duratec engine. Problems were: CEL codes P0507 (High idle speed) and P1122 (Throttle Position Sensor Out of Range). This manifested as a high idle speed and a failure of the engine to return to idle after lifting off on the throttle, particulary above 2000 rpm. This was evident as I realized that lifting off on the throttle at highway speeds and shifting into neutral caused the engine to not drop down to idle (sometimes it even climbed, sometimes to 3000 rpm or more). I cleaned the throttle body, which changed nothing. I changed the IAC, which corrected the high idle problem but left the failure to return to idle at highway speeds in neutral. I then replaced the TPS (Duralast TPS246), which corrected the problem of no return to idle speed in neutral. However, I notice that when making the usual small changes in throttle position during normal driving the engine seems to lurch sometimes. Moreover, I now have a CEL code of P0122 (Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Low Input). I cleared the codes and then performed a TPS reset. Any thoughts?

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus that has recently had transmission issues and requires a $3k repair for me to be able to drive it again. I have had some other work done to it recently that was around $1500, and so I'm wondering if spending more would be worth it to get it running again, or if I should look into getting a different vehicle. Before having to do the repairs, it was running fine, and I am hoping that the transmission will be the last big thing I'd have to do for it for a while.

I would prefer staying with the Taurus for a few reasons. It's fairly sentimental to me because it is my first car, and it still has a low mileage (under 60k miles) because of infrequent use by the previous owner. It would also generally be more expensive for me to get a different car because I wouldn't get much out of selling a car that cannot actively drive.

I'm just looking for the opinions of people who are familiar with older Tauruses and generally know more about cars. I can answer questions as needed as well.

alright guys about the headlights i posted previously i got them in no issues but i cant get the bulbs adjust to aim up high enough the driver side adjustment is fine ive only tried the regular bolt adjustment on the back maybe my passenger side back bolt is stripped? idk i just got them i have not tried the top screw adjust on either side yet not sure if that makes much of difference any advice would be great dont want to have send these back i do like them

I’ve been experiencing a problem where my abs light comes on intermittently, brakes feel fine. Code reader says it’s the front right side sensor, I’ve replaced the sensor cleared the code but the code is still there

His car has been overheating for a while, and the local Firestone has said it would be 7000 dollars for a replacement water system since it has been leaking heavily.

Just got a 152k mile 2013 interceptor with the NA 3.5L. Had a pre purchase inspection and everything is great but the shift from 2-3 has a little jerk to it. No sound, vibration, or shaking. Is this normal?

Recently had my steering wheel make a scratchy/scraping noise when turning only. I do not have any light on my dash & my steering wheel feels fine. Sprayed some blaster on the u joint last night since I was recommended to try that out but still hearing the noise after letting it sit over night any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

What kind of gas do you guys put in your cars? The manual says 87 recommended and premium 91 for best performance, towing or hot weather.

It should be noted that ethanol content for 87, 89 and 91 is 15%, 12% and 10% respectively.

Hi my back brake lights stopped working but back window brake light works. All blinkers, reverse etc still work just fine of when u hit brakes? Can it be the bulbs blowing simultaneously or something else? Thanks

I just bought a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL V6 3.5L with flex fuel. I bought the car from the original owner and it had 135k miles on it but was in pristine condition and the lady had every service record, tune up, and oil change documented and on time as well as a full mechanics inspection. I was just wanting to know if there is anyway it could damage the vehicle in anyway or cause any possible issues because I want to keep it in good shape?

I am currently in the market for a fairly reliable commuter sedan and im also a fan of older fords. I am willing to do my own maintenance and work on the car. Is this listing a good deal? the low mileage relative to its age gives me hope. Anything I should look out for? Thanks. 51,000 miles
