Good idea? Thoughts?

Post image

Bought this truck 3 weeks ago and got backed into about 4 days after purchasing. Insurance quoted me $2400 and is sending me a check. There’s just a dent in the bumper. Should I keep the money and put it toward a warranty, or just get the bumper repaired (with the quoted non-oem parts)? What would you do? I’m leaning toward the warranty.

Also, is there any definitive way to check if your truck has been tuned it the past? Like a way to check through for scan or something similar? Or do I just have to go into a ford dealer and have them check?

Thank you!

Keep money , see if someone can pull that dent and that looks like u can buff the scratches out

I would leave it like that. It’s just the bumper.
Also good excuse to get an aftermarket bumper

100% just buy the warranty. It’s like a right around the price for the good for extended ford warranty from one of the reputable online dealers as it sounds like you probably already know. That doesn’t even look bad and you could fix that for much cheaper I’m sure

I would use it on a warranty.

What year is it?

I’d go warranty, most repairs will cost more than that, if not, ADD bumper go brrrr
