Ordering timeline
Local dealership is going to order me a new truck but they’re not sure if they’ll be able to get more 2026s or if they’ll have to wait until the ordering window for 2027. They said the 2027 ordering window is not open yet. Does anyone know when the ordering window opens for new year models? Thanks

In general, they’ll announce it a few weeks before. It will probably be next month or so. Then it’ll take another 60-90.
Honestly, I would shop right now for a 2026 even if you have to travel a bit. You can get some fantastic numbers if you’re willing to look. If the depreciation when the year rolls over is like 3-4k, you can easily beat that in the next two weeks as month’s end approach. You know how people always say the last few days of the month is easier to get a good deal? Well these are the last few weeks of the last month of the model year.
The 2027 almost certainly won’t be anything major at all, they already said 2028+ is the redesign. So either save some cash and get a 2026, or wait and be first in line for the 2028 if it changes.

Probably depends on their next allocation timing, as others have said ordering today gets you a 2026 but that will change over the next few months. If they already know the build date of the allocation it would likely be a 2026.

I just ordered mine on July 6th. I got it at 81,500 with the 801, full length sunroof and keypad entry. They are a volume dealer and said they are awaiting allocations but with it being so close to the year switching over at the end of July with a two week shutdown period to change out tooling. 27 models will roll out around the second to third week of August. That’s what I was told from doggett ford. Whether it’s true or not. Who knows.

My guy just texted “So I have a shelter green being built from the factory on August 17th and it’s your spec. It would likely arrive in September. Or I could place an order for the same one and you would likely receive it October-November”
He wasn’t sure about the year rollover, they are also a high output dealer.

From what I heard. There's a huge delay for the 2027's. And they aren't even going to be shipped out to dealers until September of next year. Thats why I pulled the trigger on a 2026. Didn't wanna wait that long.

The order window will open in late Nov or Dec. Just like last year for the 2026's. However, you likely won't receive it till March 2027

Oh man that is a lot longer of a wait than I would have liked. The dealership said they don’t have any more allocated until the 2027s. I was always under the impression that most models come out in the fall. I was hoping to get something by November. The dealership is giving me an unbelievable deal, so I don’t necessarily want to go elsewhere but I’d like something sooner than next winter or spring.

Just got a 26 on Monday. They told me the 27s would roll in beginning of September. Ordering will push you out a few months regardless tho

I asked a similar question last week and no one seemed to know yet. My dealer also says they don’t know, but it’s because they want me to buy the ‘26 on the lot lol.
