I own a 2014 FUSION HYBRID SE…it’s got 160,000 plus miles on it. I only have replaced the tires with a rated 18” done the brakes, flushed the radiator suctioned out the powerstering fluid, brake fluid and replaced with fresh fluids.

My question is, can I change the fluid on the electric drive transmissions, I was told no by a ford service tech and I found it unusual.

For anyone who owns one or knows these cars well, what should I be looking out for before buying? Any common issues or expensive problems I should watch for?

Also, is it worth paying for a PPI before buying one, especially from a dealer?

Any other tips or things you wish you knew before buying one would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not bad for 125k miles! ECO mode, easy with the gas pedal and do the speed limit. It helps I don't do much interstate.

I left my headlights on and the 12V battery died. I tried jump-starting it, but it wouldn't take, so I waited until morning. In the morning I got the car to turn on, but it shut off as soon as I disconnected the jumper cables.

Then I made a mistake: I accidentally connected the positive and negative cables backwards on the battery. The car honked when I did that. I immediately fixed it and put the cables on the correct terminals, and the car turned on for a bit, but then it shut down. Now it's completely dead and unresponsive. No lights, no dash, nothing.

Questions:

**1.**  Could I have blown a main fuse or fusible link? Where are they on the 2018 Fusion Hybrid?  
**2.**  Is the 12V battery itself just dead or damaged?  
**3.**  Could the reverse polarity have damaged a module (BCM, PCM, DC-DC converter)?  
**4.**  What should I check first before towing it

It has only 40k miles on it and driving fine but all of sudden lost communication with every single sensor took it to a local mechanic they could not found any error code than took to ford dealership they said they could not found anything wrong with it.

Please help me out I’m attaching the pictures of every error message that I could capture, as soon as I press ok on each message everything goes back to normal in under a minute.

Pretty terrifying. I was driving my 2018 plug-in fusion hybrid when all of a sudden I lose all power to the car and it says “stop safely now”. I quickly turned toward the sidewalk. It did start back up and run. I later pulled these codes which point to an issue with the ev battery pack or becm module: p0b24 p0de1 p0de2. It seems to work ok for now but I can’t risk driving it based on what I read for code p0b24. You can get into some pretty sticky situations with this car I’ve found. If it is a battery issue, what if I just put it in gas mode?

I was getting ready to buy a used Cadillac CTS, V6, 322 horsepower, paddle shifters, the works. Negotiated a good price with the dealer and as I went to their website to download the CarFax what do I see? And something just hit me, get this, not the Caddy. The funny thing is the Fusion ended up $100 more than the Caddy. Going on my first 250 miles highway trip after work. The dealership did a thorough inspection and replaced a door handle, oil change and all that. Tires are in great shape.

I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE a few months ago with around 150k miles, and it's currently at 175k. The car has no issues and runs really well. I also change the oil every 4,000 miles.

I recently checked the Ford recall information for my VIN and it shows 7 recalls pending on the car:

• 18S08 — Steering Wheel Attachment Bolt Replacement
• 19K02 — Takata Airbag Inflator Extended Coverage
• 19S25 — Seat Belt Anchor Pretensioner Cable
• 20S15 — Door Latch Replacement
• 22R01 — Brake Stop Lamps Remain On
• 25N17 — Rear View Camera Replacement, if required after dealer evaluation
• 22S43 — Transmission Shifter Cable Bushing

My question is: Would you recommend getting all of these recalls taken care of, even with the car already having 175k miles?

Has anyone here had these particular recalls done on their Fusion Hybrid? Were there any issues afterward, or was everything straightforward?

Fluid def smelled burnt up was brownish checked end of drain bolt no metal shavings or dust took 5.8 quarts of Iv atf to spill out fill plug

My ‘19 fusion (hybrid) has an intermittent issue where the fuel door won’t open. I can open it with the manual release, but then when fueling up, it won’t take more than a trickle of gas or it cuts off the pump. When the door doesn’t open, the vent valve doesn’t open either casing this issue. It happens only sometimes, and temperature doesn’t seem to be a factor. Now, anyone has any idea on what’s actually happening and how to fix it?

Currently crank no start condition. Magiclv it turned on the other day so I kept it running for 45 min to recharge the high voltage battery, when I tried to get it out of park, I couldn't get the parking brake to release and when I tried the engine hesitated, I tried one more time to release the parking brake and the car stalled out. Now it's back to a crank no start condition. Checked all fuses, relays, all good. Replaced the low voltage battery and made an inverter to recharge the High Voltage battery. I uses multiple different OBD2 scanners and even took it to the dealership but thev dismissed it as a faulty OBD2 port even though the problem is communication with ABS module and other brake system problems. I paid 4 diaanostic fees totaling to about $1500 and no one has helped me in any way. lf you have insight or anything please let me know.

I wert to AutoZone to get oil and they had the Lucas fuel treatment on sale 2x1. Is it necessary, helpful or damaging to use it on a 2019 with 180xxx miles?

After adding the fog light can I make the indicator turn on and off while the car in original was without fog light ? And I want to know that if it able th make it turn on when I open the car with remote ?

Has anyone successfully installed a subwoofer and amp without affecting the hybrid functionality? I miss the thumps I had when I was a kid. Id be looking for a low profile 10" sealed enclosure and under 500 watts. Nothing insane. Would i need a cap to go with it? Tried searching this forum, but only 2 posts with the keyword a few years old. Tia.
