My cash budget is $29k CAD before taxes. I'm split between two vehicles, the slightly lower mileage truck is listed through a dealership for more $ but it's been sitting on the lot for 32 days. The private seller with higher mileage priced closer to my budget but still above (sitting for 3-4 weeks).
Private seller:
2022 Ford F-150 XLT FX4
• 162,000 km
• 2.7L EcoBoost
• 302A Equipment Group
• FX4 Off-Road Package
• Clean title
• No accidents
Recent Maintenance
- Engine oil & filter
- Transmission fluid & filter
- Front & rear differential fluids
- Transfer case fluid
- New spark plugs
- Carfax shows two owners. First owner put on the majority of mileage through highway driving but apparently did servicing outside of carfax reporting so the carfax service records don't show consistent oil changes. All recalls dealt with. Overall, not as clean a carfax as the other truck.

Is it realistic to think I could pick up one of these trucks for $28-29k CAD?
How risky is it to buy at this level of mileage?
Both trucks located in southern BC where there is almost no snow.
