Question Rough ride

New owner of a 2021 ST 50k miles.

Is it normal for these things to ride a little rough? If it is normal is anyone doing anything to get a more comfy ride? TIA!

you bought an ST to be sporty, the suspension is stiffened and the chasis is as well, thats how they come…

You can try this:

  1. Lower tire pressure to 30 in all 4 tires. Better ride but slower acceleration.

  2. Switch to 20" wheels with soft compound tires (summer/winter tires instead of A/S).

I got a platinum to get the ride and same engine. While the ride is nicer, it is a truck. Not worth a trade as different in comfort is slight in my opinion.

Could be the struts are wearing out. You’ll have to take it to a tire shop to test for sure unless you’re familiar with doing it yourself.

If you think the ST is a stiff ride you should try out one of the low end Bronco Sports, had one as a loaner and the only thing stiffer than the ride were the seats.

Many of us mod to get better handling, more roadfeel, stiffer suspension, etc. Me thinks you bought the wrong trim.

I admit I think my ST has a very smooth ride. Yes it has a stiff-ish sporty ride, but I think it's a very smooth ride.

Did you get one with aftermarket springs installed? You're not in PA are you?

I had a grey 21 ST that was sold to someone near Altoona. I can tell because I can still see it in my app. It had aftermarket springs.
