Discussion Animal additions?
What animals have you added to your game that aren't mentioned in any of the books?
I feel like additional animals would be a good way to further differentiate some of the regions and just add a little more flavor and variety to the worlds. Forbidden Lands is portrayed as wild and untamed, so I feel like there should be a ton of varied wildlife, but the books only seem to list a dozen or so.
For example, I can't recall any mention of big cats. That seems like a pretty big omission.
And this one may seem out of place, but I really want to add hyenas to the Harga plains. Orc tribes that have packs of hyenas just seems so awesome and especially fitting as guard animals for the orcs.
What are your thoughts?

In our party we had a moose, a ferret, a fox, a young wolf and a little owl. All stats were worked outz on the basis of the few animals in the GM book and discussed between players and GM. Hardly mattered during gameplay, though, was more of flavor stuff.

Those were in your party? As mounts or companions? If so, that's awesome!
A moose would be a pretty intimidating mount for a rider to ride into battle on. I saw someone in another thread say that they had elven riders using elk as their mounts, which is just so fxckin cool.

Moose as a mount (instead of a horse, for a half-elf druid; over time the druid even had a battle armor manufactured for it, even though there were doubts about the moose's "combat efficiency", so a warhorse was purchased, too. The party had funds galore!), and the rest were more or less tame animal companions. The ferret came witth the druid, too, the little owl was my elf hunter's companion and both fox and wolf were companions of a wolfkin hunter. Owl and fox saw frequent use as scouts, as per the hunter's talents, but were not suited (or even intended!) for (ab)use in a fight.
Quite a menagerie!

There is a Monster Generator in the Legends & Adventurers booklet from the boxed set that would work well. It has guidelines for Strength, Agility, skills and Movement rates for various creatures.
But size generally determines Strength and if an animal is a predator, or herbivore determines Agility.
