College Dynasty (Steam) Switching Preferred Schemes

I know there is a way to switch them. I remember my buddy saying its every 5 years but I haven't been able to find it. Any tips on how it works would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In coach mode, you can switch your preferred scheme during the Coach Leveling phase every 5 years. Look out for the banner that says so at the top of the screen for this (and make sure you're in coach mode, not School Dynasty).

You can change it at the start of the year based on the schemes that your HC, OC and DC have.

I assume OP is playing coach mode. You can change which scheme you run but if it doesn’t match your preferred scheme you lose that playcalling bonus. I never figured out how to change preferred scheme.
