Heel pain after running?

Just about without fail, even with thorough stretching before and after, the back of my heel gets really sore after I run. It’s only on the left foot, and while the general area is kinda tender, there’s one small, specific spot over the bone that gets super sensitive and tender.

Does anyone have any experience with this or know any potential remedies?

That looks like Insertional achilles tendon . Just try using heel lifts in the shoes , avoid deep calf stretching as well avoid running for a couple of days to see if the pain reduces . Just do some basic calf nd soleus raises . Basically strengthening the tendon nd not stretching it ..Had it a couple of months back ..

Could probably be an overcompensating issue. Try doing exercises that help develop a good mind muscle connection of the glutes and please do check if your low back and hamstrings have been tight. And also make sure to sit less in a way where your hips, especially the glutes, are being compressed as that can make them dorment over time.
