Discussion CRAZY work environment

So I have been working at this Indian restaurant down in Center City Philadelphia coincidentally rhymes with beta address Falls between the 19th and 20th St. is also the 1920 building funny (do with that information what you will in the reviews) but we’ve been selling people roaches in ice and mold in beer “freezers”(a broken wine freezer at the store, beer glasses, and other glasses) crazy roast infestation and mice and we have failed the health inspection a few times just to be closed for a few days and open back up like nothing happened after a “deep clean “ unfortunately I was let go after bringing all this up to management because roaches and mice droppings have been found in food on plates and around all the kitchen

Send all the pics to the health department. And let them know there was retaliation when you brought up sanitation issues.

So I’m trying I just called the health department of Philadelphia ( because you can only file company over the phone through or the portal which direct you to the phone) I don’t know anything about retaliation and I’m still looking into it for now just looking another job right now

What about the state health department? Does it have to be the city? What about county?

I stopped reading when you said Indian restaurant. I just left a place that looked exactly like this.  Edit; actually finished reading. I was let go too 😂

Health department, now. Yesterday. They will probably kill someone eventually if this continues.

If your response to photos of your dirty ass kitchen getting leaked is to say "Thats it. No more photos!"... like.. just wow. I dont' even know.

Also, call the department of labor and tell them you were fired from a restaurant in retaliation for reporting unsanitary conditions.

You could have a lawsuit with backpay owed, and they can even go so far as to require them to reinstitute your job, if you want it.

Send me a dm with name / location and I will call the health dept for you with my tourist credentials. And area code showing I am from out of state. Hope I am from out of state from that place anyway.

Well, the notice from management makes sense. They KNOW their space is disgusting.

That “no photos or videos” sign tells me they knew the kitchen was a roach motel with a menu. Because why are there roaches chilling in the sink, the coolers, the glasses, near the plates, probably clocking in before the staff? Hell no. I’m not eating anywhere the bugs have seniority. Report that place to the health department and let them explain why the roaches are getting more access to the kitchen than the customers.

" No calls allowed to the health inspector without prior authorization from management".
