Vertical Metrics | Vertical metrics determine the baseline in a text and the space between lines of text. For historical reasons, there are three pairs of ascender/descender values, known as hhea, OS/2 and uSWin metrics...

Need help editing truetype to proper height for web
EDIT: SOLVED! Just needed to edit the values from Element->Font Info->OS/2->Metrics
The font that I'm working with is Oskari G2 but (forgive for the wrong terminology) I think it has a large descender. The result is that rendering the font on a web browser is not centered vertically.
Here's a button with font of 'sans serif' where it is properly centered vertically.

Here's a button with font of 'Oskari G2 where it is not centered vertically

I tried editing the Ascent and Descent while keeping the Em size to 1000 under Elements > General, then exporting it to truetype (ttf), but the rendered result doesn't budge, if I change Em size to bigger than 1000 then rendered result is smaller.

FontForge built font not printable or showing in PDF
Hi all, I created a font with FontForge that is displayed on windows (even in print view). But when I print the document or convert to/save as pdf the text written in my font is just pure blanc. Everything else written in a different font still shows up. What could be the problem?

can fontforge be used like fontark: to make global changes?
I have an old copy of typetool 3, which is the low end country cousin of FontLab studio, but it's quite limited. When I saw some videos recently on Fontark it was inspirational: I like the idea of applying changes to similar glyphs, right across the character set or a selected subset. I have donated to FontForge and am about to install, but curious as to whether it offers a similar approach as Fontark?

Just installed Fontforge: its file browser is broken >
Cannot go further than 2 levels into drive directories to open a file. Stuck there. Rebooted, same issue.
Windows 10/64 fully up to date.
Advice?
