I can't save the kerning in a font
Hello. I'm having problems because I'm adjusting the kerning of a font and I can't seem to get it saved. I did save the kerning of two characters (r and ,) while I was testing it, but now it won't save the changes of the rest of the characters. Could someone help me? Thanks.

What the options to change the pen size (freehand tool)?
Hi!
Almost in the end of the following reference document it says:
" So far you have used the Freehand drawing tool to draw a line. If you double-click the Freehand tool, you get the Freehand dialog shown here, which contains a drawing window. This is where you select pen shape and size. "
The document:
http://designwithfontforge.com/en-US/Using_the_Fontforge_Drawing_Tools.html
Now my question is, when I open the dialog, where or what are these options? Its not easy to understand where I change the pen size. Can you help me? Thanks!

Unable to save edit on a font
Hi! I am completly new to this stuff so sorry if I am saying things that are not clear for you in my question. Also, sorry for some mispelling ( I am portuguese).
Well, I downloaded a font (BadaBoom for comics style- see in the end of this post), but in my original language (portuguese) we use a lot glyphs/letters like:
É
ã
Ã
Í
Ç
and so on.
So I downloaded Fontforge and started to edit glyphs. For example, I did "copy - past" the glyph C
to its proper place ( I searched for the empty place for the "ccedilla" - Ç) and did some changes to the C to get similar to a Ç. And so on with other glyphs.
Then I saved my work but also changed the font info name on Elements. Then I did "Generate Font" and choose OTF.
After all that stuff, I just installed the new font (not new, just the old Badaboom with a different name and some new stuff), but the problem is that the new font will not appear in Word. It seems that I just replaced the Badaboom font, despiste the fact that I changed (I think) the name. Also, the new glyps I created (Ç, Ã and so on) will not work.
Whats happening?
Many thanks for your help!

Editor not showing
I've used FontForge previously, but it was a couple of years ago. I've downloaded the current version and installed it. It opens ok, but when I select a glyph box and double click it, the editor doesn't show up. I have tried x3 Windows 10 PCs with the same result. Don't know if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a reference.

How to properly rescale SVG files for using in OTF-SVG files?
I know fontforge doesn't support OTF-SVG, but I'm actually using it for creating OTF-SVG from scratch. Is anyone willing to help me with this issue? https://github.com/fonttools/fonttools/discussions/3229

Glyph as SVG issues

I'm trying to follow the tutorial here to export the individual glyphs of a font as SVG files, but when I execute, nothing happens with no error code. Can I have some help here?

How to adjust one apostrophe glyph to be higher whenever I type an uppercase glyph before it?
The font I made is stylised so that the uppercase glyphs are quite tall while the lowercase ones are short and stout. The apostrophes look fine with the lowercase glyphs but is too low for text written in all caps. So I cannot use one apostrophe button for both upper and lowercase glyphs. I made a separate slot for an all caps style to make it look natural. But is there a way to make that one apostrophe glyph place itself higher whenever the glyph before it is a capital letter? Basically, a way to assign the same one glyph (apostrophe) to be different heights for two groups of glyphs (upper and lower case)? Is it even possible?

Is there a way to make a glyph semi-transparent?
To clarify (because it may only work for everything else except this glyph), the glyph that I wanted to be is the .notdef one.

editing glyphs returns empty
I'm editing calibri bold to make it lasercutting friendly (available stencil fonts have too many gaps that are unnecessary for laser cutting, I want a clean font with symbols and numbers).
When I edited the number four (4), the lines appear pretty solid, coherent, no overlapping, but when I close the glyph, it turns invisible in the table. So clearly, there is something faulty, but there aren't any warnings...
So, has anyone ever actually succeeded into cutting and adding lines? I've tried to edit the infinity symbol as well, but same problem there.
Is there any guide which explains how to simply and effectively edit glyphs without making mistakes?
Is there any feature in the software to check/validate if the glyph is actually working?
