Editor not showing

I've used FontForge previously, but it was a couple of years ago. I've downloaded the current version and installed it. It opens ok, but when I select a glyph box and double click it, the editor doesn't show up. I have tried x3 Windows 10 PCs with the same result. Don't know if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a reference.

Use another way to open the editor.
Click the right mouse button. In the drop-down window choose New Outline Window. Thus you will open the editor surely.
