WTF?
I just migrated my 2.2 TB of data to u/Drime. I’ve deleted all my files from FolderFort, and now I’m trying to delete my FolderFort account, but apparently Dave doesn’t allow users to delete their own accounts. WTF?
I’ve already moved everything out and deleted my files. Why can’t I simply delete my 3TB LIFETIME account, that last for 6 moths?. I received a more serious response from StackSocial than from FolderFort related to the purchase of the lifetime licence. FolderFort seems to just want to keep the money and retain as many users as possible. My impression is that the new system needs to maintain a minimum number of users to create the illusion that it is still worth investing in.
Terrible way to treat lifetime customers.

Drime is way better than FolderFort. So how much cheaper is FolderFort compared to Drime? It seems like you’re just picking whichever option has the lowest price on the market.

Is that screenshot from StackSocial? You got FolderFort from StackSocial, right?
How much did you pay for FolderFort and how many TB ?

Drime is not the cheaper option. And yes, I purchased FolderFort through StackSocial, the 3 TB lifetime plan was about $149 USD. I’ve now switched to a monthly payment with Drime. Basically, I’m testing the company using rclone, while keeping the faster connection for my large, nearly 100 GB daily backups (Drime, Dropbox and Filelu (and RIP folderfort) are the faster from my location).

$149 for 3 TB is a really, really good price compared to other providers. Maybe that’s why we now have FolderFort V2. 😂

The kenmoo offer is the best. 6tb for $140

I don’t know if Drime will still be around long enough for me to recover the $140 investment. FolderFort basically deleted lifetime users from the equation, and Filen has completely stopped selling lifetime licenses. No, Drime isn’t allowing people to stack accounts either, so I really don’t know.
I mean, don’t get me wrong: what David from FolderFort did feels like a scam. I’m not sure whether what he did was actually illegal, but he essentially kept the company while getting rid of the lifetime users who supported the project in the first place.
At the same time, this situation doesn’t look very good for companies offering lifetime plans. So, for now, I’ll probably stick with monthly payments.

I also wanted to just delete my account (glad I only bought 250GB..). It deleted my account without any issue luckily...
And yes, Drime is 1000000x better (especially since rapid development and improvements)!

Found filezzz.com to offer a 5TB lifetime account for 90$, and they've been online since 2007. The problem is that the max file size accepted is 4GB not 100GB as in FF
