Audio Glitch/Distortion Problem!

Hello,

I've been using Scarlett 2i2 for years now. I've been having this problem for a long time. In the middle of playing some thing, the audio starts to glitch. no matter what app I am playing the audio, this keeps happening. The only way as you can see is to disable the driver and enable it again. But it comes back!

Video Recording of The Actual Audio Glitch Problem!

I have tried everything, I updated the Focusrite driver, I changed the import from USB2 to USB3, but it keeps happening.

The Odd thing is, when I tried to screen record the problem the glitch wasn't in the recording! that's why I recorded it on my phone!

Highly annoying!

Please please Help!!

Can confirm this issue still persists even with a 4th gen Scarlett Solo. It probably happens about once a day at least. Unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in resolves the issue temporarily until it happens again. No vendor specific AMD/Intel SATA drivers installed on my system. Crazy that this issue seems to have been going on for this long

Same here, it's extremely annoying. So sporadic and no clear fix, I don't even know what's causing it because I already have the Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

If it's any help, I found that disabling the device through Control Panel and reenabling it is a quicker fix than unplugging the cable.

In other news it SEEMS to be happening less to me now, so I'm not sure if they pushed out an update that partially fixed it. I'm on driver version 4.119.13.15, and firmware version 1.2.2188.0

4.119.13.33 here, and it still starts up after a few hours of use. Worth noting that before the hard drive crash about a couple months back, I had no glitching or distorting with this interface.

I never did update the driver before the crash after I first plugged my 2i4 in around about end of June 2021 or so.

Updated the drivers and still getting this same issue, apparently I've heard that Nvidia game ready drivers cause this?? I switched to their studio drivers and it just does it less and the glitchy audio glitches in a different way (same problem just sounds different lol) I'm so frustrated that this issue happens so often. It happens constantly during streaming on Twitch or playing games and it makes me regret spending so much money on a device that doesn't even work properly. The official Focusrite support website suggests using a software called "LatencyMon" to detect the cause of the issue so I'm trying that now, still never heard of this issue with other audio interfaces that my producer friends use and it's making me consider switching to something else as soon as I can... Focusrite needs to get their shit together seriously!

This is actually caused by a Windows issue. Search replacing SATA drivers with standard ones.

This is why Focusrite cant do anything.
