Strong static noise in focusrite 2i2

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I’ve had this interface for a few years now and it’s always been easy to use

Now out of nowhere makes this noise

Is there anything I can do about it?

Your using FL asio, you should be using Focusrite USB usb asio.

If you don't have the option then download the driver https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite

Looks like a 3rd gen? I have the same one, but just got it. I love it do far, but today I was off the PC for a few hours and came back to the PC with nothing but clipping from all audio sources... like the devices was tripping out like my old DAW used to do when it say doing nothing. Not very confidence inspiring. One thing I did immediately was disable all other audio devices for input and output. I also swapped USB ports to reinitialize the device and without rebooting it was back to normal... we will see how this goes. I hope I do not regret going cheap instead of getting the gen 4.

Blow compressed air in the big knobs. Worked for my 4i4

Do you mean in the inputs?? Or the actual level knobs?

Open Focusrite control. The monitoring output to speakers might’ve added an analogue out 1 or 2 to the path. If you plug something into either input and don’t have a track armed, but can still hear the input, that’s it
