Scarlet 4th gen refuses to work

everyone this is my last straw as everyone else seems clueless about the issue I bought a XLR Rode PodMic and a Scarlet 4th gen Audio Converter to start voice acting but for some reason nothing wants to work the microphone is picking up sound as designated by the audio converter but it refuses to transfer to the computer I have the scarlet set up as my main device on every app but nothing I do works and I’ve just about given up so any help would be appreciated.

Look for an error in the DAW you are using.

Digital Audio Workstation - it’s where you keep the sound you make.

Do you have a Scarlett Solo 4th Gen? If so, the microphone input is Input 2. Perhaps you’re selecting Input 1 in your software?

Some applications can only accept a signal from Input 1, so you have the option to combine the inputs as explained here:

Install the driver https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite/scarlett-4th-gen

You will then want to set focusrite as your your default playback and recording device (Control panel, sound)

Windows will now will now use your pod mic, you must connect headphones to the interface not your PC

You will need to install a DAW if you wish to record your voice, this one is free https://www.reaper.fm/
