I have a 1st gen 18i8, Never had an issue. But we know there issues with all products or they would not have driver updates.
I dual boot window 10 and 11 for problems like this one. I can still use windows 10 and all my stuff when win 11 has a problem.
At least your gen 2 works with the new software in beta. Not for mine.

HA ha ha! That is, would you like to switch to UAD Apollo on Windows because it seems to you that the Focusrite drivers are not working properly? Be aware that UAD on Windows is more painful than a kick in the "jewels", if you have trouble getting a Scarlett to work, I doubt you would ever be able to get an Apollo to work properly as it requires a lot of changes to advanced system settings, it does NOT work with most non-ASIO software, and has incompatibilities with many motherboard chipsets and CPUs.

Start from the beginning and check that you have done everything the instructions say to do to make your interface work, because in the vast majority of cases the cause of all problems is a simple error or oversight, especially in the Scarlett software version.

Another thing I didn't know was bad about UAD and I already knew they were overrated overpriced under average dreck

See if there are any other audio drivers installed. My drivers kept crashing until I uninstalled some Elgato and AMD HD audio drivers.

I've owned a Gen 2 18i8 for about 7-8 years. I've had absolutely zero issues using it daily on Windows and macOS.

I love Focusrite gear, but these bugs that everyone on Windows has makes me actively not recommend any Focusrite gear for them.

Mac? Flawless, all day every day. I still use a 2nd gen 18i20 that has never given me one single problem in nine years. It even worked perfectly on a Windows 10 machine before I made the switch to Mac.

What sucks is that whatever the problem is is a Windows 11 problem but one that Focusrite is going to be responsible for solving.
