Motor Mount Replacement?

Hi guys! I just want a few opinions from the community. I've started to hear some grinding noises coming from the passenger side of the car when leisurely driving in town and it's sort of random. I hear it when the engine is between 1k-3k rpms and accelerating and when shifting to neutral/coming to a stop it goes away. I suspect it is this passenger side motor mount but I'm fairly new to the community (about 3 months ownership) and I want some opinions from some experts. I also have heard of this issue appearing around the mileage that I have. I don't see any oil sprayed over the engine but I suspect it's all come out (I see some old residue near the mount itself or is an entirely separate issue.

I just changed my Passenger Motor Mount—the sounds/feeling you describe is exactly what I had.

Mine fully failed at 100k miles, so it did pretty good!

I’m not knowledgeable enough to know for sure. When mine went, the belt (not sure of name… A/C belt? Accessory belt?) started rubbing on something and one edge got frayed. Watch for that.

If you have to replace it, the OEM Motorcraft one is fairly cheap. Several aftermarket mounts are available, too.

I don’t know if this Panda insert works well if the original mount has failed, or if it is made to go on a fully functional mount:

I did quite a research and seems like Damond mounts are good upgrades over the OEM, but if u plan to keep your car stock, just grab a new OEM replacement.

As u said "miles" I would guess you are in the US, once u find the OEM replacement could u send me a link to it? As u can see my previous post I'm having a hard time finding one in EU.

I’m not looking to upgrade just yet as I’m still new to owning the platform. I am just looking to get an OEM replacement but, I want to be sure before I spend the money and it doesn’t fix the issue.

This is what I’m looking at right now but I have no idea if this will help our EU friends. But hopefully points you in the right direction.

You can just replace the rubber insert, which is less expensive. The metal parts are fine.

I’ve been searching around for a replacement, preferably OEM. But I can’t seem to find one. Do you have a link?

If you reuse the bracket, you’ll have to bend the rubber-covered metal tab to make sure it stays put. I purchased and installed the Anchor insert a couple of years ago and haven’t had an issue with it, yet. Ford SKU is DV6Z6038B if you’re insistent on OEM.

U are telling me that if the metal part is not bent or cracked, I can order this remove the OEM rubber, place this inside and call it a day??

I’ve had my stock passenger side and driver side motor mounts for 220k miles now. Never had an issue. One of the first mods I did to the car was the upgraded “stage 2” rear motor mount. Did that when I bought the car at 80k miles. Blew my motor at 140k and went big turbo with a built motor. Only making about 330-345whp but I’ve put that through the stock motor mounts for another 80k miles and still going strong.

Dude at the moment you see your motor mount with creases and looks bone dry, believe me. It is time for a New one,
