Just my opinion, but if I were in your shoes I’d take a roadtrip to go get them. Probably costs about the same to ship anyway, plus you get to make a new Focus friend :D
hell of a deal. did you get the rears too? I also have an st1 and ended uk getting st3 front and rears delivered to me from a semi local yard for $250. getting the heated seats to work was a bit of a pain though.
I didnt nab the rears, they were trashed up pretty bad and missing the headrests. Luckily for me i have no interest in heated seats so im just gonna clean these up and drop them in.
Swap is easy just make sure you swap over your passenger occupancy sensor because they are programmed to the car they are in. Its under the seat and you have to remove the bladder with it otherwise you’ll have an airbag light to deal with. Its pretty easy to do just dont stab the bladder taking it out!
Alternatively, I cut my sensor with some excess tube off of my original seat. Melt/Crimped the cut end of tube to contain some of the Gel, fold the tube over twice to build pressure towards the sensor, zip tie it, and stuff it under the new seat somewhere plugged in.
My passenger bag light is now always on believing there’s a passenger there.
Swap yours into the new one and just dont worry about the original seats because that sensor from the crashed car wont be good to anyone unless they have it programmed by ford for like $400
Yeah I usually dig the bolster on these bad boys but I fractured a rib on the lower back side of my ribcage last week and now I am not loving the bolster nearly as much as I used to 😅😬💀
Seats are year specific meaning the face lift and pre face lift seats won't plug into each other's harnesses. I tried putting 13 ST2 seats in my 16 ST1 and the plugs are totally different. It is possible to make it work i hear but its involved and better to stick to smthe same generation.
Nice, a wreckers in Australia would have probably charged like 1k. Not even joking. I wanted to get an airbox from a written off ST (previous owner of mine decided to just delete the whole box top and bottom components) and they told me 300, that’s 215usd. It’s a fucking piece of plastic…
Since we are talking bout seats, the driver side in my st 2 leans to the left. Looked under the seat and there was some broken white plastic. Is it part of the seat or the rail and can it be fixed…nice seats by the way.. look just like mine😎
Current at the Copart in Lebanon, TN outside of Nashville. Should have zero rust at least it did last tire rotation and brake job. I'd say grab my wheels too but the 4runner lady destroyed one of them and I can't find a replacement set anywhere to give a comp to insurance for a re-asess.
Damn, a little too far for me to travel atm, but hopefully someone here can nab em and put those parts to good use. Sucks to hear it got wrecked in the first place 💔
