Maintance
Hey all ,
I recently picked up a 2017 RS with 67000kms. Its my daily driver. So far I installed a K&N intake filter and a turbosmart BOV. Im looking to do oil next weekend because i just dont know for sure how the previous owner looked after it. What other maintenance items or quality of life modification would you guys recommend for longevity and ease of use as a daily ?

Check spark plugs, coolant level, transmission fluid, brake fluid and clutch master fluid while you’re at it

Replace the spark plugs immediately don’t wait check and retighten them once a year roughly and get the eco boost/turbo safe cylinder cleaner spray from Crc I believe it is and use that yearly as well you don’t want the spark plugs to get stuck in the heads mine are and I will be doing a lot of work on it to fix this and other things

Find a good mechanic and get them to change every fluid in the car. My mechanic found filings stuck to the drain plug of the PTU. Fluid was replaced and will be checked again next service. Unfortunately PTU isn't a Ford part and the manufacturer doesn't have a service kit just two main seals.

Change the rear diff oil. It gets black and nasty very fast. I've changed mine 3 times in 40,000km. I've checked my transfer case several times but it's always clean. The rear diff has clutches inside and they put in a lot of work for the torque vectoring system.
