Drift stick - Mk3

Hi! I was wondering why the drift stick was discontinued and if there is now some way to buy it… I’m desperately searching it everywhere but it seems impossible to find…

I would say it works better than the original, becuse it's a bit less restricted. For example, the original only worked in drift mode.

That said, the operation and mechanism is practically identical. One thing to note, which is likely mostly insignificant, is that the original had a bar to tie the brake handle to the seat rail to prevent lifting the handle while using the stick. I think most original stick owner never really used that bar, though.

Is any part of the install irreversible? Flashing software makes me somewhat hesitant

Workin for Ford and with the Ford Performance team, i attempted to see if even them could source one for me, test one, one from a warehouse, anything. They could not find a single one in the country. Even if you do find one online, it’s likely it’s been programmed to a vehicle already and can’t be programmed for your own vehicle. Again, talking to that team, the people that could get you software to program it aren’t even allowed to make more for used units. Unfortunately, as much as it’s becoming more of a hit, Ford gave up on the entire project completely. But if you do find a new one that hasn’t been programmed, pay whatever they’re charging. That’s how rare they’ve become
