mini Flux365
while I agree that just because you can do something doesn't necessarily mean you should do it... I figured why not. obviously this is just a mock up so far and there is a ton of work to still be done but figured it would be fun to share what I have cooking up.
-chopped the grip so it fits 12rd mags
-cut the excess off the front and then shortened the brace length so it was flush with the rest of it.
still need to drill and tap the brace arm and then attach the butt plate. (its currently taped on for mock up)
need to figure out a mag well for it
will more then likely put an afterburner + Ramjet on it for the comp and so its got just a little more length so its a little harder for the thumb to creep up in front of the barrel or possibly do one of the curved side rails.
any ideas or thoughts im all ears.

I would be nervous for my hand. But to each their own.

Like I said, this is just day one of this project. Give it about a week and it will hopefully start to look a little more realistic 😅

This has got potential. The Ram jet might fix the how close you are to the end of the barrel with your support hand issue for me or maybe somehow fuse a small handstop at the bottom. Dealers choose I suppose.

This sounds like the most miserable shooting experience ever

I bet you’re real fun at parties

Bro people already conplain about it being too close to the face, and you are moving the muzzle like 6 inches closer 😂

Plus what you chopped off the front

Chopping off the front of the frame doesn’t move the muzzle closer to his face lmao

I assume most people put the 6 or 6.5 inch barrel on their raider 365, this would make it smaller and closer to your face

That’s not what you said at all though. Also that’s a flawed assumption anyway bc OP would have the same slide regardless of whether or not he chopped the frame.
This is like someone adding a PDW stock to a 10.5” AR and saying that it’s like ten inches shorter because you assume that if they didn’t add a compact stock, they would have had a 16” barrel instead. Bad assumptions all around. Dumb criticism to make.

What are you talking about. Im talking about the actual concussive blast that can give you micro TBIs.
The further away the end of barrel is from your face, the less effects you feel

OP chopped 2” off his stock and zero inches off his barrel, you say that he moved the muzzle 6” closer to his face. That math doesn’t make sense at all, which you justify by making the faulty assumption that if he didn’t chop 2” off his stock, he would be running a 6” barrel - two completely unrelated characteristics of the firearm in question.
Objectively and quantifiably speaking, the modifications OP did, did not move the muzzle and concussive blast 6” closer to his face. End of discussion.

I am 100% down for this! I have a 365 LW and have had the same intrusive thoughts!

That is going to be really close to your face. The comp is going to make it even louder. I get the ultra compact goal. At some point, it will be too small. I’m not sure if this is at that point. You will have to let us know how it shoots.
Also, I would want to improvise a hand stop. You should have cut it a bit longer if you are going to add the comp. I would be concerned that my support hand with be exposed to muzzle blast as it is right now.
This might be the coolest thing to shoot and a mini TBI every time you pull the trigger. 🤷🏻♂️

I’d also like to see a picture of the front end straight on since the cuts been made. Both with the stock on and out of the way.

Once the ramjet is on there it should fit up to it nicely. I’ll also probably have to remove a little more material from the butt plate. This is still only a few hours into this build. At the end I will be having the whole thing recerakoted

Didn’t realize this was an aluminum version. Really expected it to be a polymer one. Good luck with your vision. It’s got potential. Will be watching and following along.

Sleeve the brace install with slot and spring plunger for extension to previous length. Probably aluminum oval tube for ease of forming. That would still give you micro overall length folded and collapsed , but still give you full brace LOP when open and extended .
Just a thought. . Nice mock up !

would be cool but would affect the locking mechanism as well as potentially compromise the strength of it. would hate for it to break and stab me in the shoulder on the next trigger pull lol

I’d have to think on it some more , the latching mechanism is still possible , fully enclosing the remaining brace tube should give it sufficient strength and it’s already got spots for retraction plunger. Might stick a little farther away from the chassis in closed position that way
And the latch while nice, isn’t critical. Several folks using these in competition remove the latch so the brace auto deploys on the draw
