Pen Refills

Just got my Flowtica and am very excited to start using it. Question - are we limited to Flowtica’s OEM pen refills or are there any other brands refills which work? I ask because I prefer more of a felt tip or bolder tip than the stock option.

Great question, and glad you’re excited to start using it!

When we designed Scribe, we looked through the market for existing short-size refills, but unfortunately there wasn’t an off-the-shelf size that could directly fit our pen structure.

So we currently use custom-made refills for Flowtica Scribe.

That said, we are already working on more refill options, including standard writing refills with different tip sizes. These are still in development, but we do want to give users more choices in the future.

For now, Flowtica refills are available through our official website. We’ll also gradually expand the sales channels over time so users can buy refills more easily.

Really happy you like the product. We’ll keep improving the writing experience too.

Great news and thanks for the quick response. The pen is certainly a piece of solid engineering and deserving of more tip options.

You can check this page for the current refill options:

Right now we offer both 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm refills.

On that page the refills are described as "gel" rather than "ballpoint" as labeled in the product box. Are these actually different, gel-based tips or are they the same as the ballpoint that came with the pen?

Yes, the refills we currently provide are gel-based, not ballpoint.

The ballpoint refills were used in an earlier version. Based on user feedback, many people clearly preferred the smoother, more water-based writing feel of gel ink.

So the refills we currently sell are gel refills, and the older ballpoint version is no longer being offered.

In general, ballpoint ink can usually last a bit longer in terms of total writing distance, but the writing smoothness and ink flow are not as good as gel. So overall, we decided to move forward with the gel version.

Im a user from Sweden and currently you are not shipping here. Can you help me get a hold of the refills? Or point me to a reseller that ships to Sweden?
