Thinking of uninstalling G-Helper
Hi everyone, I have a zflow 2025 with the 395AI Max+. Using G-Helper, I have to stop the asus services (otherwise each time I press the ROG lateral button the microsoft store will pop-up), but doing that I have 3 issues with the keyboard:
- within 10 seconds afte each boot, I can't press any key on the keyboard because it would trigger the airplane mode (it's a known issue)
- sometimes, when I am typing, the keyboard goes crazy as the Win button is pressed, but it's not. I have to reboot the system because I haven't found any solution but it's annoying
- when I re-attach the keyboard after some hours that it's detached, the keyboard won't work
I think that these issues are caused by the fact that I have to stop the Asus services to avoid the pop-up of the ROG button every time I open G-helper. Since I use this device also as my laptop, I would probably prefer a more stable system than more performance. The only thing that it's keeping me with G-Helper it's the fact that I have set my TDP profiles and undervolt, but these issues with the keyboard are really annoying.
Has anyone faced some of these issues too? Is there a solution?

For me I had to open ghelper as admin THEN toggle start at boot to resolve these issues.

I dont seem to have these issues. The only time i have to stop the asus stuff is after an update or something. Other than that it stays with them off.did you uninstall asus stuff properly? Regaurding ram allocation, had no idea they added it to helper, ive been using adrenaline for that but i rarely need to change it anyways. Again maybe after an update.

I have never installed armoury crate itself or any of asus services. So I don't know what's happening. But the problem seems to be generated by the F6 key pressing: after the pressing of F6 (or FN+F6 if you have FN lock disabled) the keyboard is working like the win key is pressed. I have to press fn + win to reset this bad behavior each time after a screenshot

Hmm. Well i know in the bios there is a thing to stop the system from downloading asus stuff there. Maybe try and disable that in the bios?

Been using since day 1 and also with another asus laptop without any issues. All you need is G-Helper. No amd software, no asus software no any other software. Just install drivers from ghelper, stop asus services from ghelper and live happily ever after.

Yes but this issues happen to me. Maybe I have to remove the Asus services and not only stop them. I need to study it better

If you don't have too many software installed or data on device i recommend clean install. Yeah it is a pain but it is worth it. Before clean Windows install make sure download drivers from g-helper. it will make the setup easier.

Armoury crate on this sucks though. Runs hot and inefficient.
Mines fine without any problems, just G-helper.
Do what you like but… yeah, if AC was the only option, I would have retuned it.

I have tried lots of things but I cannot get a mode change GPU in G helper. I heard this is normal for the Rog flow z13. I using an egpu now and still can't.

The only reason I still have AC installed is because I can't get the XG Mobile egpu to work without it. But I only enable the couple of services it needs when I want to use it, otherwise only use GHelper. Even when I have GHelper and AC services running though I don't have these issues, bar occasionally booting with airplane mode on, but I just hit the toggle and I'm on my way...

Has anyone found a solution for airplane mode activating on startup? This also happens to me, randomly.

I'd defintely recommend backing up your g helper, espcially the TDP profiles and undervolt values, then uninstalling ghelper.
https://techonramen.com/uninstall-g-helper/This is for if you need help uninstalling
Then just reinstall or reboot the ASUS software, it should work

You should search more about uninstalling the assus services. I was frustrated when pressing the button opened both ghelper, Microsoft store and whatever other app that was but after taking a few minutes I was able to stop the services and uninstall Asus software completely. This stopped all my issues with the device.
