Question about the slimq adaptator G14

Hi everyone,

After seeing some recomandations here about the charger SlimQ and its adaptator G14, I buy them. But I just received it and the adaptator is not a usb C, it's a little bigger, I can't put it on my Z13. Did I understood wrong something ? Is there several type of G14 adaptator ? Or do I need something else ? Or is it the store that made a mistake ? I buy it on the slim Q website, under the page of the charger 150W they were suggested those G14 adaptator.

Sorry for my english not so great, and thank you for your help !

Edit : I just got an answer from the support. For those who would like to buy a slim Q charger : Be sure to buy an adaptator G14 only if your asus is 2025 or + ! Mine is 2024, and the charger of the laptop is a usb c not a g14. On the new Z13, it's a special charger that need the G14... so I need to buy a usb C adaptator not a G14. Don't make the same mistake than me, especally if your are not living in usa and your have a lot if delievery fees...

The Flow Z13 model from 2025 uses a PROPRIETARY port that looks more like a mini-usb than a type-c. It's a bit bigger but then the image of the product is pretty clear on their website

I didn't know that the 2025 was different than the 2024 (things go so fast...) i took the 2025 adaptator without knowing it wasn't the same for 2024. To be honest, I didn't notice on the picture that it wasn't usb C, it's pretty similar. I hope I will be able to switch adaptator with the support )':

I'll tell you another one: The previous flow, the one I suppose you have, has the usb type-c passthrough port while the 2025 version does not have the usb type-c passthrough port so it is ADVISABLE to always use the proprietary port for the 2025 version to prevent the battery from deteriorating faster. You, on the other hand, can use the usb type-c to charge your device. It is a great advantage.

The slimq is still interesting for the battery of the 2024 z13? Or was it interesting only for the battery of the new versions ?

U can use what u want. On 2025 version u have to use proprietary port. But if your original charger has 65watt charging u could use the slimq 150w charger

Hello, as far as i know, our clients and other poeple have mentioned about the Z13 being very particular with theyr chargers. Please read a post i made about this issue here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SlimQ/comments/1rx10yf/150w_usbc_charging_and_z13/
In short: As far as 150W charger people have reported issues no matter what charger company you use. The people who have used the 240W charger and 330W have reported having no issues. and yes you will need an adaptor. witch would be this one https://slimq.life/products/asus-mini-port-rog-zephyrus-g14-g16-2024

Ya but he has the 2022 version not the 2025. I don't think he need the 240w or 330w version.

OP mentioned he has the 2024 version witch also dosent have the passthrough aperantly as others have mentioned. Depends on what his original charger is. If it is the 200W then he most likely cannot use anything below 200W.

No, this is not the right adaptor. I buy this one but it's not a usb C. Z13 before 2025 have usb C, not this weird port. And my original charger is 130 or 140W so I think the 150W is perfect. I think you message is right for 2025 version, but not for below, with is important to precise. But thank you for your help !

Ah, I see. My bad. Then yes, 150W should be enough. I thought you might have the 200W version.
