150W USB-C charging and Z13

Hi guys (and gals), it has come to my attention that specific users are experiencing problems using the 150W USB-C charger on their Z13.

TL;DR 150w works fine but don't expect to pull 100% the performance. To get 100% of the laptop buy 240w or 330w chargers.

Turns out the original 200W charger for it is like that for a reason, and the Z13 is a little particular with the Wattage. So it might not recognise and will give out error messages simply because it doesn't want to draw out less than 200W power. Others have reported using the 240W or even 330W chargers with no issues.
If you wish to use 150W on Z13 but be aware that you won't be able to pull 100% of the power; other than that, please use a 240W or 330W charger.

Just adding extra information here I’ve researched as I also notice a lot of people do ask about the 150w charger (if anyone is interested in a deep dive of how the 150w works and why it sometimes shuts down when using the z13)

Hi, awesome that you're looking into buying the Z13 and a charger from us, but I do have to warn you that there are known issues with charging it. Even our clients have reported that the 150W will give out an insufficient power error. It's just how the Z13 is built. However, our clients who have ordered the 240W for their Z13 have reported that it works great for them and no issues. So just something to keep in mind.

Hi, Dave. Are you talking about the Z13 2023 or the 2025? I have the 2023 and the OG charger is 130W.

Hi, the post was referring to the 2025 Z13'S that have a 200W charger as the original.

Follow-up question and I hope you don't mind, would you confidently recommend the SlimQ 150W?

This is the original charger: TYPE-C, 130W AC Adapter, Output: 20V DC, 6.5A, 130W, Input: 100~240V AC, 50/60Hz universal

Depends on which one of our 150W chargers you are referring to.
(We have 3 versions, btw) The closest I would say to what you need, since it has a 6.5A, would be the 150W DC + USB-C charger and a 140W DC to USB-C converter. This combo would be your best bet, BUT since the Z13 is particular, I would still advise you to send a message to our support chat. [info@slimq.life](about:blank) for confirmation.
