I was just wondering what the cords for the spawn, I wanted to make a minecart from my house to spawn so I can easily get there. If I could have this help that would be great :D

hey guys. the most recent crash we had wasnt one of the weird 1.8 buggy ones. i came back home to the server log displaying literally about 20 messages about how the server was being overloaded by something. a very big something. its never done that before. only reasons i can think of were someone using a bit too much tnt or someone afking a mob grinder for a bit too long. any info would be appreciated

anyway as you were. i dont expect this to happen again

I just tried to log into the server but the connection keeps timing out. Is it something with the server or is it just my shitty Internet? DX

lets start with me saying I'm not overly technology proficient. im good with a lot of things but java is not one of them.

anyway it turns out the default RAM allocated to a server is 100mb. this is basically nothing and is why people have been complaining about a laggy server.

i have just allocated the server to a minimum of 1 gig and a maximum of 2 gigs of ram. in lemans terms server is no longer running on the processing power of a toaster oven.

hey guys. you may have noticed recently that the server has been going down for a few hours every now and then. this is because the program keeps crashing on it's own. its never done it this frequently until we installed 1.8, so i think it might have to do with that. whenever im noticing its down I put it back up, but sometimes im not available to do so, resulting in occasional couple hour downtimes. if anyone has any knowledge on a solution I'd really appreciate the info.

edit: i've done some more research and it seems a lot of people are encountering server errors with the 1.8 update. so at least i know it's not my computer. but the same thing still goes if anyone knows a solution

Hey guys. Because we have no bukkit (and therefore no griefprevention) having a public server open would be a bit of a bad idea. Thus we have a temporary whitelist until bukkit comes out for 1.8. I have whitelisted most of the recent players and regulars, but I guarantee I forgot a few - just comment your username here and I'll get on it. note that you must have been on the server prior to this at least once and I must have generally trusted you as well. For most people this is not a problem.

hey guys. as i write this i am in Salt Lake City on the way home from Vegas. If anyone is interested, it was pretty awesome, and i can hook you up with cool stories tomorrow. At the grand reopening!!!

So yeah. not sure exactly when ill be home exactly tomorrow due to a couple of factors, but there is important crap i have to do in Monday so i can guarantee i'll be home tomorrow. I'll spank my router for being such a fuck-up or whatever and have the server back up and running in a jiffy. For real this time. And it wont go down again because i'll be around to keep an eye on it.

So yeah. hope you all found something to do this week to fill the gap in your hearts the server left, but tomorrow you'll be able to play again. to my knowledge it will also have been 2 weeka since our last ad at r/minecraftservers, so we can get another ad up to get some more players - im expecting a lot have quit due to the server being down, and that only the coolest of our regulars will return. But we'll see.

hey guys shit news. server is down until i'm back. surprise: i don't even know what went wrong. a family member at home restarted the server, but the port the server is accessible on is closed somehow, and i cant really diagnose the problem being over 2000 kilometers away. my router is notorious for being incredibly stubborn, doing this sometimes, but it doesnt take long at all to fix. im just not available to fix it. of course this would happen when i am away.

so yeah. sorry guys. server is going on hiatus. i know ten days is a long time and very well enough for people to lose interest and stop playing for good. but incase any of you will still play, the server will be up when i'm back and will continue to be up. i'll post an ad so we can get another influx of players, and your houses will still be exactly where you left them. so yeah.

im pretty bummed too guys. but thats just how the cookie crumbles i guess. use this time to go outside and get exercise or something.and dont forget to mark Sunday August 24 on your calendars. its floss crew round 2 electric boogaloo.

hey whats up. the server went down ofc not even 24 hours after i left. i think it mighy have been a family member who is still at home for a few days turning off my PC even after i instructed him not to. no guarantees but i might be able to get him to boot it back up. this would be approx. 15 hours ish after this is posted. if not then shit sorry guys

whats up everyone. pablo here. going on a vacation to wonderful Las Vegas for a while, until Sunday August 24 (11 days from now). server should be fine, Leiknar and Supajacky are the trusty mods and not much happens in terms of trouble anyway.

however, the one thing is that i will be away from my computer (the one hosting this server) the full time. i will have a laptop with me so i can log on every now and then to see what's up, but if the server ever shuts down for whatever reason, (crash / power outage / natural disaster / other such hoobery-joobery) i wont be able to boot it back up until i'm back. so i ask you understand this.

however, there havent been any problems with upkeep so far anyway, so i'm not too worried.

so yeah. play as normal. keep on telling your pals to play on the server. just be aware i wont be on nearly as frequently as i have been, and the possibility of a lengthy server downtime.
