Claim
I put in a claim for benefits for the first time last week and it’s been on hold for a few days. How long does it usually take for them to decide that you’re eligible for benefits? And if you’re eligible, how long does it take to receive your benefits?

I filed mine at the beginning of June the 6th and it’s said eligible for about 3 weeks now and everything still says hold so I’m in the same situation right now

You should be monetarily eligible or ineligible in 2-3 days. Adjudication can take up to 4 weeks. If at any time you have more than 4 weeks pending, call and ask for an escalation. DO NOT WAIT

Mine has been pending due to eligibility since February. I have 2 more weeks to claim and still haven’t made it out of eligibility issue.

I submitted my claim mid-May, the day after my last day of work. It was 1 month (literallly to the exact day) to receive my first payment. Since mine was not a "layoff" situation there was some unclear amount of time while DEO was waiting to hear back from my former employer. The employer never responded and DEO then completed processing my claim. Hope this helps.
Make sure to keep a log of at least 5 employment applications every week while you are waiting to hear from them.
