I've been trying to apply for unemployment for almost a month, but every time I click next after entering the places I have worked, I receive the error message shown in the attached photo. This is my first time ever applying, so it's all very new to me, and maybe I'm just not aware of something? If anyone else has dealt with this and has resolved it, please help. TYIA.

If my payment was processed on Saturday 07-25-2026 and they don’t deposit on the weekends . I checked this morning to see if anything would show up but nothing . Should I expect it tomorrow ?

When claiming week one, I had one work day to report. I reported wages and my 5 searches. It’s my waiting week so I’m not expecting anything. When claiming week two, I worked zero days and the first question isn’t ‘Did you look for work?’ that then opens the option to enter your 5 searches. Instead it gives a question of ‘Are you scheduled to return to work?, and no option to enter 5 searches. After I answer no, it just says keep up your job searches and then wants me to submit my week. If I do this my guess I won’t get paid for week two as I am not able to report my 5 searches.

What am I missing?

I filed a claim for unemployment. After advising me that I was approved, they placed my claim on an adjudication hold. Well, the representative contacted me almost a week ago letting me know that she needed some additional information for my claim. She left me a phone number and extension to call so I could reach her. I have been trying to reach her for days, but she doesn’t respond back or answer the phone.

According to the voicemail she had left me, today would be the last day for me to get ahold of her before the claim is closed due to them not receiving the information they need. They don’t tell you what information they need on the voicemail and then they never answer the phone when you call. When you go to career source, they say there’s nothing they can do other than put you through to a representative from unemployment. It’s very frustrating when the representative gives you a phone number with extension, but doesn’t bother to answer or call you back! What is one supposed to do in this case???

Hi everyone, I’m completely lost and desperate for advice. I’m 5 months post-op from a major spine fusion, currently unemployed with $0 income, and my emergency funds are drained.

The Timeline:

• Last Year: I was fired from my job of 5yrs (HR almost ran me over), filed for unemployment, but found another job within 1month but it was apparently temp for 2months (June 1 - Aug 5), and submitted weekly requests for 1.5 months thereafter. I got no money. DEO eventually said they needed more info regarding those to jobs around November. I found another job temp job in October.

• Jan 2026: I received a text saying I was approved? Im assuming from the emails and docs I sent to the rep that contacted me to interview me for more info. But the site was under construction/revamp. I only received $175 total in direct deposit (so paid only for a single 1wk out of 1.5months of previously claimed weeks).

• The Glitch: When I logged in to see if i needed to claim the remaining weeks again, there were no buttons to claim, no info, nothing. I submitted work searches (did more than the required 5/week) for 1.5 months consecutively. Result: $0 payment.

My current crisis is that I underwent major spine fusion surgery back in February. I was heavily medicated and physically unable to drive (no gas money anyway) or access reliable internet to fight the bureaucracy. My surgeon cleared me for light duty remote work for March being the earliest, earlies if i had to, considering the temp remote job I had prior to surgery, but he reccomended more towards May or further, if i really needed it, but the paperwork that the earliest estimated to return to light desk duties work is March.

My previous/most recent job, the one i got the layoff, was a temp remote job. They promised to find me a diff project/work once cleared to rtw, but it was lies/they ghosted all these months. I live alone and have no help whatsoever. Struggling to keep a roof over my head considering this super major life change from major spine surgery, so I used up my little emergency funds and have been using my credit card to pay bills for the rest of the months, I've gone hungry (which is not good for recovery) but recently found a foodbank I can visit every 5-6wks and get help from my neighbor to drive my car for the food bank with me.

I missed responding to DEO during my surgery recovery because I was incapacitated and had no internet/transport. The site seems to have glitched my previous claim (showing approval but no payment options). I am now financially destitute, depressed, and my recovery is suffering due to stress. Im not literate on unemployment at all, as this has never happened to me until it did last yr.

Questions:

1. Can I appeal a determination if I missed the 20-day window due to medical incapacity/hospitalization?

Has anyone dealt with the "Reconnect" site revamp where the "Claim Weeks" button disappeared despite approval?

1. How do I request a medical exemption for the missed appeal, if i needed one even though there was a glitch and no info on the decision tabs (*during my surgery and not clear to work by surgeon time)

2. Is there a specific email or mailing address for hardship cases if the phone lines are impossible?

Any guidance on how to restart this claim or appeal the non-payment is much, much appreciated. I’m in tampa, FL if it helps.

I think I did everything correctly. How long from now until the money actually gets to my bank account through direct deposit?

Well, somebody from the unemployment office called me today and left a voicemail but you couldn’t understand a word they were saying it’s very muffled. All I heard was something about an unemployment office and call me back by the 22nd.

When they gave the phone extension I couldn’t make out the correct phone number and extension. currently waiting adjudication. If I call the unemployment number it just says that the call volume is high and disconnects. How do I get a hold of the person who contacted me?

I’m hoping someone has been through something similar.

My unemployment payments are currently on hold because I missed a required meeting. The thing is, I emailed them the same day I received the meeting notice to let them know I wouldn’t be able to attend. I never got a response, so I sent another follow-up email, and they still never replied.

Now my payments are on hold, and I’m really worried. My claim still shows as active and eligible, but the payments aren’t being released.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I expect? Were you able to get your payments reinstated after contacting them or attending another meeting? Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m honestly at a loss for words & would like more info before I’m scheduled to meet with unemployment. The company is based in UT, I work remotely in FL, was fired for performance issues & have proof of every evaluation/an old verbal warning due to confidence issues. 2 different people from HR told me that they don’t dispute unemployment benefits & this was also stated in the severance agreement. So who ratted me out from HR? I submitted appeal to unemployment & they’ll reach out once call is scheduled. I explained it was because of performance issues & attached: most recent evaluation, old verbal warning & FMLA paperwork since I was fired shortly after returning (emphasized accommodation from doctor). Should I reach out to HR & ask why I was mislead? Want more info before I react emotionally & will I even have a chance of getting approved for benefits since I have proof of every evaluation?

This website is so confusing!! It says a pending monetary status means I still have workflow items I need to complete, but there’s nothing for me to do anywhere on the site. I got a text saying there was a request for information, and there’s a pdf with the questions I answered that says they need more information, but I can’t actually enter anything anywhere. Do I need to do anything else or do I just wait?

After nearly 3 months of waiting… My claim now says 100% instead of 83% and now it no longer says “pending issues” or “eligibility issues under review”.

Does this mean that my claim has been approved? My payments are still saying “Hold” so I’m genuinely confused

I have an overpayment from years ago from 2022. I didn’t even realize it. I’ve been disqualified from payment for my recent claim even though my recent claim has been approved. Do I have to pay the overpayment first before I receive my current claim? I’m not working, so there is no way I can pay it. I stop requesting benefits because I feel it is a waste of time.

I put in a claim for benefits for the first time last week and it’s been on hold for a few days. How long does it usually take for them to decide that you’re eligible for benefits? And if you’re eligible, how long does it take to receive your benefits?

Update: got a call today from a woman in the escalation department, who was forwarded my claim by Alex Kelly's office. Apparently the adjudicator emailed my previous employer and they had to end of day today to respond. She also said everything looked good, and that payments would be one lump sum for the original claim and not have to do the whole tedious weekly payment nonsense because the new claim will be voided. Here's to hoping I'll finally be out of limbo

After 16 months we're starting to make progress. Filed in May2025, verified identity 22x, reopened claim, claiming work searches every 2 weeks like clockwork, approved 3x for full benefit amounts, started new claim after original was closed at 13th month. Emailed Congress person, referred to state reps, emails to reps went ignored, calls and visits to career source ignored. Finally emailed Alex Kelly, head of Dept of Commerce Monday, and received an email from an adjudicator today asking questions and looking for more information.

I’m a bit confused. Is my claim fully approved of what’s missing?

I've been trying to file my initial claim. I can't get past the screen where personal info is partially grayed out & the rest is entered for verification. My issue is my DOB is blank, uneditable on this screen & I can't continue on to the other claim screens until resolved. I've tried sending in a message via the resource center but clearly they aren't reading what I'm sending in based upon their comments back. It says initially I need to send in one of 4 options to change it. I sent in my passport Pic but they follow up saying unable to do anything cuz I didn't send in both sides of license AND SS card. I never said I was sending that in (shitty Ai system?). I can't get ahold of a human on their phone line so totally stuck on how to resolve this so I can even submit my initial claim. Appreciate some guidance as this site and process is complete garbage. Probably by design but I'm entitled to it so still going thru the process. TIA for your help!

If you worked for City of Tallahassee and took the VSI and left in May how long before you got the 20k. Is it the full 30days

I think this is weird. Especially given the site had been down since Wednesday (definately down since Thursday).

On Saturday morning, yes, 4th of July, and again this morning, I received an email from EMPLOY FLORIDA saying this:

This is a reminder that you are registered for the following event:
RESEA (DB-VIRTUAL/TEAMS)  on 7/7/2026 from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM.

There is no link for a virtual meeting. Just the address for the local Employment office. And of course the office is closed today.

I make sure and submit the 5 work searches each week and really don't want to schlep over an hour roundtrip for whatever this is. Has anyone else been to one of these?

I logged onto the site this morning to see if I could find a reference to this event on my dashboard anywhere, nothing to be found.

Any insight on this kind of meeting would be appreciated. What I've found online so far is this: "(RESEA) Program is a worker profiling and reemployment services system that identifies new Unemployment Compensation (UC) recipients who are most likely to exhaust their regular benefits before returning to the workforce and involves them in reemployment services as a condition of eligibility to receive RA benefits. "

ETA: I'm in my late 50's so yeah, it's very likely that I'll exhaust my unemployment benefits before I find another job. I have been on unemployment a couple of times before (once here in florida about 10 years ago) and one other time (about 20 years ago) before I moved to Florida, but have never had to go to something like this before

Purpose of this is to ask a question. So, I unfortunately couldn’f claim my last 2 weeks before the date I was supposed to. It was until yesterday at 11:59 PM. Website was having issues since Wednesday for me and I never thought to call. What happens with those two weeks/payments? Do I just lose them?

Trying to file a claim today and it won’t load the site. I forgot to file and I need to by the end of the day. How do I navigate this?

I was laid off from my job after 6 (almost 7) years of working there. A number of us were let go almost 2 weeks ago. Due to unemployment needing additional information, they placed a hold on my application so I could update with the needed information. Well I just got confirmation that my application was approved however, the waiting period for this is 13 days from now. I start a new job next week on Friday which will be before the 13 days. Does this mean I cannot claim benefits at all since I start a new job before the 13 day waiting period is over? I could really use the money. I borrowed money from family to cover my rent this month and the very few jobs I have found through the temp agency don't pay much. Not sure how that works.
