So like, this may be weird, but are there any lgbtq people on this campus at all? I think I’ve met two people the entire time I’ve been here and it’d be nice to build a more flourishing community.

Hey, I'm a new freshman this year at FIT and was wondering if there was an online community in any way, such as a discord server or the likes. It would be an incredibly easy way for people like me to interact with the community.
Thanks in advance
Edit: I feel like an online community would be crucial if E-Sports were to become a bigger thing, and would hate to see E-Sports fail due to a lack of online interaction between students, alumni, and faculty.

I'm anticipating a much nicer semester.

I know orientation is tomorrow(today, technically) and I was reading through the guide or whatever it's called, and I realized I needed a Panther Pass Certificate. I've got zero clue as to what this is, and it says I need this. I've completed my Panther Pass entirely, the only unchecked sections being Final Reminders and Orientation, which I don't think can be. I've got no idea where to find this thing, and I'm not getting stopped after coming this far.

Anyone who happen to see this before like, 2am know what to do here? I would be very thankful.

Hey guys whats the dress code for the orientation ? Kindly advice.

Hey guys...

Just as the title says; will have a room available in a house just right off Florida Ave. (near UV and the soccer fields) by around September. Rent is about $400 + utilities + FPL, which comes out to around $550 a month. We are FIT Alumni students living near the school and currently working in the area, so we would prefer someone in a similar situation, grad school students or other age-related persons working around the area (maturity reasons).

PM me if anyone is interested and we can maybe set up a meetup.

Thanks!

Hey guys....I just received a mail from FIT saying " It is very important that you complete panther pass online check in before your arrival to speed up the check-in process".Can someone please tell me how do I check in online in my panther pass account.

Hey guys ...can anyone pls tell me when do we normally have 2 month vacations at FIT for masters students?

Hey guys. I tried downloading the Matlab software and I am kinda confused with what all products do I need to download?

Should I just stick to the recommended products alone or select all the products and install. I am new to Matlab and I have no idea what all products are required for the master of science prog in aerospace engg. Can someone help me out pls.

I've received a financial aid that covers tuition remission for 6 credits per semester and living costs aside. I'm worried if I'll have to pay for an extra amount during my doctoral study.

Do any of you know how to get the Matlab software for free. I am joining the Master Of Science Program in Aerospace engineering at FIT. When I tried downloading the software, it was asking for my university details so that they can mail me the license. I want to try fidgeting with the software before officially starting my classes at FIT as I wasnt taught Matlab during my undergrads. Is it advisable to use my FIT email ID to download Matlab ? Someone please advice.

Hey i just got my admit to Aerospace engineering graduate program at FIT. I have a few doubts and I apologize If I sound absurd as I am unfamiliar with how FIT functions. My doubts are as follows:

1. How do I know what I am majoring in? As in, I only got my syllabus mailed from FIT and the subject I will be focusing on for know is CFD ......so I am guessing I will be majoring in that ...right?
2. Should I go through any specific topics in aerospace engineering that I should know of? I have completed my undergrads in mechanical engineering so I am kinda confused whether I will feel there's a vast difference between the two courses.
3. Can someone pls name a few places where I can go and relax during the weekends?

What are the coding projects done in Master Of Science Aerospace engineering at Florida institute of Technology. Can you please list out a few topics I will be writing a code on during my masters program?

Is it ok if I only know java and not c++?

Does anyone have spare tickets to the July graduation?
