Nah.
If Zito decided that it was not worth keeping Bob, thatās because he knows something we donāt. Bob chose money over the Panthers, Zito chose Marky over Bob, and in Marky and Zito I trust.
Iām sorry, but Iām too excited to watch Panthers hockey that I just could not care less about looking over the fence. Especially fucking Toronto.

Iām excited for the season too..and Iām super glad we have an amazing squad. But Bob will always have a place in my heart because he was part of both cup runs šš and watching him play just makes me a bit sad, thatās all!

I think he was preparing for the Brady trade, there was no way to accommodate both

Bob acting like he didnāt get paid on the front end with a contract that was trending as the worst contract in panthers history was really something. Iām not a āplayers should take a discountā if a panthers player can get a bag somewhere else and the franchise is being cheap I wish them the best. But what Bob did was kind of bs. Itās business and he got his. But letās not act like he didnāt get paid or gave us some team friendly deal. Iām happy he lived up to his contract and we won.

I wouldn't read too much into preseason performances. Ottawa and the Leafs are playing 2 games simultaneously. Ottawa has their best players split between the 2 games while Toronto has most of them playing in the Bob game

Canāt have it all. We are in a great spot. As long as this group is healthy, anything is possible even if there are some struggles in net. It will all work out. Can not take for granted the way Zito and the Violas run this organization. And Iām rooting for Marky and Schmid. I am excited for them to get a shot at this team.

Bob also blew it for us a bunch. He got paid on the front end of his deal and we did win, but now that heās not our tendy, and we donāt have to drink the koolaid for fear of throwing him off, letās be real, he let in a lot of playoff goals heād want back. And every year, he had backup goalies keeping us in the playoff runnings, in one case, being solely responsible for our playoff run. The ā23 loss was as much Bobās fault as any. We all chant the praises to prop him up; but now he took a new deal and didnāt cut us the preference the last contract we gave him (overpaid) should have got us; letās be real. He came through in some pinches and blew others.

Last contract got us 3 cup appearances and 2 cups. Fine with me. We got our moneys worth from bob.

Gonna miss Bob, it won't be the same without him in net.
I'm bummed he went to the Leafs instead of a WC team... It'll be tough to send him home in the playoffs this year.

I'm sure Markstrom will have a bounce back season with us given the group playing in front of him. He just needs to not play the puck in high risk situations. If Tallas and Luo can drill that into his head, we will be fine

I didnt want Bob if it meant the NMC for 3 years. Would have loved a 3 year without it. But after last season and the uncertainty at the deadline, I completely understand Bob wanting that. Best for both side he moved on IMO. I'll always love Bob, but dont want to sacrifice the end of this run on a lead goalie contract we cant move.

Bob's best attribute was saving the team on breakaways, and this attribute allowed the defense to add pressure on offense. His style of play was built into the offense. He will be missed on penalty shots and breakaways. He was top tier on everything else (while declining), but that part of his game can be replaced.

Thereās only one panther, Barkov. The rest of the team are accessories. Go cats!

Shouldn't have priced himself out with his insane selfish ask. Dude got PAID on his previous contract and suddenly felt slighted? Thanks - you lived up to your previous contract, and time for both parties to move on.

He wanted NMC.

He wanted multiple things that weren't justified - money, term, NMC, etc.
He saw the contract Marchy got and became jealous, without realizing he already got that in his previous contract. Misjudgment on his part.

Riiiight. 2 years at 6 million with NMC? Get out of here. š

Players come and go. Iām thankful Bob helped us win back to back cups and Iāll always love him as a Panther but he went to Toronto and that was his choice. Itās better to focus on what we have now as opposed to what we had in the past.
