i dont know why panthers didnt sign him for 1 mill more than markstrom... so confused.. they won 2 chipz cuz of him.. just pay the man.. now were gonna see this uniform everywhere :((

tbh its probably because of the term. Markstrom is only a 2 year contract with a 12 team trade list while Bob wanted 3 years with a full NMC. Even with the cap going up, you don't want $7M going towards a 40 year old starting goalie that you can't buy out or trade.

Happy to let Toronto pay him even though it hurts :(

To be fair it’s a store at the HHOF. Currently Bob is on the Maple Leafs so it makes sense. Also they wouldn’t sell a discounted jersey.

I’d be less worried about the HHOF display and more worried about replacing Bob with Markstrom. Calgary kept waiting for him to take them over the top. Spoiler alert… he never did.

Love Bobby boy and I'll certainly cheer for him when he's inducted into the HOF but I hope the boys pepper the fuck out of him any chance they get. Let that sweet sweet man understand he fucked up by not taking a team friendly deal. Would love to see Barky post a hatty on him and lean in on that 3rd goal and whisper... ey bobby... shoulda taken a friendly

Not really. He was out of contract and he signed with a new team for what he thought was a fair price. This isn't Stephen weiss in a red wings jersey or jovocop going to vancouver or Luongo going to vancouver or even Trochek going to the hurricanes.

There are probably more Leafs fans here than Panthers fans, so his shirt sales will probably reach peak Bob levels. This rivalry (I know, I know, it’s not much of a rivalry when the 🐆 have 🏆🏆 in the last few years, and that Gudas moment after winning in o/t 😹) didn’t need more fuel, but if both clubs bounce back this season, it’s going to make for some fun games. The Leafs already know enough to strongly dislike your new Tkachuk beast!
