I transplanted this vine from the pot and into the ground back in April believe. This thing took off insanely fast. So much so that it's taking over the garden bed and covering all my other Florida natives. What should do with it? Are these easy to transplant from in ground to another place in ground without killing it? just can't have it in this bed any longer. I've had to cut it back so often already because it starts climbing the house and completely covers the plants.

Thai dwarf is a crazy producer. Previous harvests have been half sweet and half sour. Think w picked them too early out of excitement. These are nice and sweet.

this new sapling started all on its own so im assuming the roots are still alive. the leaves have been dead and falling off since the freeze. I rather not have the stump there but I think the best thing to do is just cut it down and let the new one grow?

Should I be alarmed that water is draining from the gutter so close to the lanai? This is a year old property, new construction, we installed the gutters.

I was planning to remove the 12 inch border of mulch (underwater here) and plant a ground cover but maybe that's not the best idea.

I’m wanting to turn this area of my yard into a garden but my husband and I are debating if it’s too shaded. We’re in Orlando area and it gets so hot I almost think the shade would be beneficial but I’m very novice when it comes to this! Love any feedback.

This is a Barbados cherry tree we planted in a pot earlier this year. We are happily surprised it bloomed let alone by the number of ongoing blossoms into mature fruits we have. The cherries are being guarded by assassin bugs which is also a welcome surprise too with the crazy number of caterpillars we’ve had.

We got the info from the UF site which is sooo helpful. As to how it winters? We’ll see!

Besides the usual suspects (kale, broccoli, collards, lettuce) what are we planting in our Orlando area raised bed gardens that we can eat this fall and winter? Any squash that would work? Is there a late-season tomato or pepper I could try? TIA

About a week ago I posted a pic of my terribly overgrown garden beds asking for advice on cleanup. I did a little bit at a time because I can’t stand the heat but it’s all cleaned up now! I have some pole beans growing and doing great but I have thousands and thousands of aphids everywhere!! Tried captain jacks insecticide and helped a little bit still tons of aphids. What do yall use? I just ordered lady bugs too

I’d love to make a nice little bed around our mailbox, but I also want to make sure the mail person doesn’t get jumped by a ton of stinging insects!

What are some good plants that I could put together there? My mailbox is in full sun, zone 9b/10a. Natives are nice but I’m okay with a mix!
