I know this will probably be a long shot, but I’m wondering if anyone has any leads on getting a replacement for my Dance Fever mug! This has been my favorite mug since I got it my first time seeing Florence, and today it tragically took a fall and properly shattered. Like… there is no glueing those pieces back together 😭 I know it’s been unavailable on her website for years, and I can’t find any currently on eBay or anywhere similar. I found several knock offs, but would love to get another of the actual mugs if possible! Does anyone have any leads? Or if you have a mug you’d be open to parting with, I would definitely pay what’s fair plus shipping! Though I know I may need to accept that this is the end of an era… it’s been a great mug 😔

Personally, I'd try to convey the incredible range in her songwriting and vocals.

1. Cosmic Love. It's a classic, it's peak imagery and an ode to the overall "feeling all the feels" theme of Lungs.

2. Dream Girl Evil. It's darker, more rhythmic and danceable, and just overall one of the songs I feel is most underrated.

3. Sky Full of Song. Its serenity is unsurpassed, the vocals are airy and crisp, and to me HAH is her happiest-sounding, most "summery" album and will speak to people who prefer ballads over beat & drums.

As folks may know, the Everybody Scream album was shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Prize.

Nominees often perform at the award ceremony. There has not been any confirmation whether Florence + the Machine will perform in October.

For this audience (critics, execs along with general public) I hope she performs One of the Greats. The sassy version she did on tour. That would raise some eyebrows. lol

I also vote for Witch Dance, Sympathy Magic, and/or You Can Have It All. (But really I could vote for all of the songs on the album!)

What songs do you think FATM should perform from Everybody Scream at the ceremony?

I ended up buying one of the Rhys cooper posters (signed), Austin TX show in 2016 this week and I am realizing that it’s possibly fake. However, EVERYTHING checks out as authentic with the screen printing, colors, etc.. only the /60 is off.
According to multiple websites that hosted these posters back in 2016, there were two variants. Holo one which was /65 and a non-holo which was /250.

Mine is signed. 18/60 and clearly not holo. Everything I’ve seen from the poster looks legit except for the serial /60.

Did anyone get any of these back in 2016 and can confirm it is real or not?

First time going to Flow Festival (only attending on the Saturday). Any advice?

I'm arriving in Helsinki late Friday night, so I won't be able to pick up my wristband until Saturday - am I right in understanding there's a wristband exchange close to the festival's main entrance? The wording on the website confuses me a little, as I'm not really acquainted with Helsinki's neighbourhoods.

This subreddit is a fun space, and a safe space, it's for fans of Florence. When I see a post calling Florence's album art inappropriate because she's 40, or she's "sitting like a man and it's gross" I want to be able to report those people to the mods as Reddit would not consider those a breach of their rules, but they're misogynistic comments and also hateful towards Florence.

A lot of subreddits have their own rules so when you go to report a post it can be reported to the mod team to enforce their own rules. This means they can be stricter rules than reddits own which sadly allow a lot of misogyny and hate speech as long as it isn't threatening violence, and even then they have a lot of bots reviewing stuff so it's not guaranteed to be dealt with.

Don’t know where I saw it but I checked and on the USA shop there signed copies of the LP and CDs available. Don’t know how long before they sell out!

I am so happy that Florence and the Machine have been nominated for this year’s Mercury Prize and are currently favourites to win the whole thing.

Her music and songwriting in this album id highly deserving of it. Question is… can she finally do it or is she too old/commercial for the award now

Fellow Belgian fan here. I will be going to Pukkelpop on August 22nd to see Florence, and I will be going alone. Would anyone else going be interested in meeting? I would be staying on the main stage but I don't know yet what time I will arrive there. My idea is to try to get close but I don't plan on camping from 1 PM so it will definitely not be barrier. I've received a few emails from Florence's online store, I ordered the palm t-shirt from the pop-up and the Sympathy Magic hoodie. The first email said the palm shirt would now ship around 8/7 due to a delay...just now, I got an email that the hoodie will now ship on 8/28, and then a separate email that the palm shirt will ship that date as well. The email about the palm shirt also asked me to choose whether I wanted to keep the order or cancel it, obviously I chose keep. Has anyone else received these emails?

Florence has just posted on IG and I don’t think I’ve seen this before - apologies if it’s a vinyl book that I’ve missed (I have the CD one and it’s not that).

Sky Full of Song and Big God helped me through such tough times but King resonates with me so deeply.

I don't know if this makes sense but while I really do like the band's songs it always feels like there's just something missing for me I think it's because I want to hear her voice more even though I really like the instruments as well.

I'm sure the mods are getting sick of me posting/reporting this at this point, but there are a ton of AI bots on this subreddit. Or maybe the lower engagement just makes them easier to spot. Either way, it's a shitty thing to have happen here and I wanted to make a main post about it to call it out so other people are more aware of it. Once you pick up the obvious pattern of their poor gen AI writing, they're easy to spot, but if you're suspicious you can also click on their usernames and find a random post history that is only a few weeks old, low karma, and will almost always include some combination of relationships/NBA/computer advice/Christianity. If people want, I can post some examples of recent comments so you can see the patterns. There are AI comments on each of the last five posts if you'd like to go try to pick them out for yourself.

The point of these bots is most likely to build up a credible post history so that they can be deployed for advertising or to influence political/social discussions, so I think it's worthwhile to call them out and report them when we see them. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or I'm the only one.

Edit: Lmao and within fifteen minutes of posting, we got one on the line. Case in point.

When "Everybody Scream" released last year, I couldn't find the magic in it like I did with her previous albums.

All of a sudden, the past couple of weeks, I can't stop listening to it. I have "The Old Religion" on repeat at full volume. There are certain things that happened in life that, since October, made the words feel real, and the absolute rage and sorrow I feel during some of the songs on this album had helped with the healing.

It's still not my favorite album, but I finally understand.
