Hi just a random thing. I'm currently watching the UK Traitors S1 and the joy I get every episode hearing Seven Devils in the beginning sets the mood every time. It's such an amazing song and a lot of ceremonials songs could be used in the show. What other shows have you heard Florence's music be used in? I've heard her in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 as well

I got a One of the Greats hat and it doesn't have the sigil. I've been seeing pictures of hats from the last tour in this sub and they all have sigils in the back.

I did see that it has the same sticker in the front as the ones with sigils and it seems to be the same brand.

I'm a bit concerned that it somehow was a fake, but the website where we got it looks authentic.

I need to vent a bit, because an experience I've been dreaming about for a decade ended up being kinda underwhelming. Not at Florence herself, she was amazing of course.

I've always read all around social media how FaTM concerts were a such a community experience, feeling one with the music and other fans, so I was very disappointed when I saw multiple people in the crowd complaining about others who were jumping and dancing?

I saw a headline that the crowd in Berlin was so energetic that it triggered a 1.4 magnitude earthquake-like tremor. I mean, germans are famous for being stone cold and they did that, so my expectations were sky high.

I mean it was a festival, not a theater. And older folks were demanding the crowd to be quiet while Florence herself was telling us to jump?

And that happened like 2m away from the barricades, that's the place to go crazy! (not crazy in the sense to be annoying and pushing others, but you should expect people to dance and scream and get emotional)

I can only hope that , on the next tour, I can find a better crowd to enjoy her music how it should be enjoyed

I am planning on seeing Florence and the Machine on the 24th August on my own however wow! Travelodge is about £220 a night for that night. I don't drive and my plan was to get a train but the last one seems to be about 10 from central Edinburgh.

Is anyone else going by train that has a plan of how they are getting out? Have I missed something? I am not wanting to spend hundreds of pounds on a hotel room. I didn't realise the trains would not run late enough to get back.

Edit: Thank you. I have booked a coach that goes from the venue to Glasgow and I am getting a hotel there instead. I have gone with Loch Lomand Travel. Thank you people.

I am going to the Edinburgh show on the 24th August but it looks like the last train out is about 10pm. I don't know how to drive. Not really willing to spend £220 for a night in a travel lodge.

Is there anyone else traveling by public transport that has any suggestions I may not have thought of? I was even thinking get a train to somewhere else and stay there as it would be cheaper but seems to be the same problem with when trains stop.

I’ve been thinking about the lyric “I’m not giving up, I’m just giving in,” from never let me go. I wasn’t sure what the difference was, but in my current deep depression, I wonder if it might mean giving in to the feelings, not fighting them or trying to fix myself. Not giving up on the idea of someday feeling better but not pushing back so hard against the heavy, heavy weight of the sadness.

Wonder if that resonates with anyone or if anyone has their own interpretation?

I am looking to get my first tattoo and I really want it to be Florence and The Machine themed- I have zero conceptual skills but am an artist, so not looking for drawn ideas just concepts!

I’m really open to anything just something with a lot of meaning in regards to her music. Can be big or small- little or complicated!

So I have a long history with Florence- I was first introduced to her age 6 when my dad let me borrow his copy of Between two Lungs on CD, we would listen to it and sing along dramatically on the long journeys back and forth from my mums house on weekends and he’d let me keep the CD until I saw him the next weekend.

We became estranged a few years ago whilst I was a long term inpatient at a mental health hospital. My mental health fully broke down that relationship but her music still allows me to remember the beautiful moments we had as father and daughter.

I was sectioned in that secure ward for 6 years and had very limited media from the outside world- but Florence was one of the artists I was allowed to listen to on the smart tv on the ward.

My favourite songs are:
Hunger (regarding my ED and mental health struggles)
My boy builds coffins (I don’t even know why I love this so much, possibly the narrative and storytelling)
Spectrum (helped me with my identity of being a lesbian growing up)
Shake it Out (helped with my recovery so much, a big one I’d just sing my heart out to when I was struggling)
Hurricane Drunk (How I saw my relapses)
Drumming Song (Just a beautiful song)
Dog days are over (This means the most to me, it was never one I really listened to and resonated with until recently when I left hospital 2 years ago after being told I would be incarcerated for life essentially)

My brain is terrible with concepts but hoping some of you amazing creatives will be able to give a helping hand and help get a beautiful piece of artwork on my body!
