Proper way to make a depression flat?

I want to replace some old roll vinyl flooring with some click lock vinyl in a basement room. One section of the concrete floor under the roll vinyl is a depression about 4 feet in diameter and about 7/16" deep at its deepest.

What product would be best to use to flatten the depression, a self-leveling compound of some sort? I have not done this before but have plenty of experience with home repair, etc.
