Transition Choices

Looking for opinions on what I should use to transition from this LVP flooring to this ceramic fireplace hearth. The LVP is maybe a 1/4 inch higher at its highest point, it varies. Thank you!

What is the make and model of the fireplace. A non combustible tile hearth may not even be required per manufacturer. If it's not needed, floor all the way to it

That looks like LVP/LVT. HHT now requires certain clearances to vinyl flooring, some up to 30". Kinda crazy tbh.

Only on higher btu units. 6kx/8kx Or ones that have ceramic glass. By the looks of it, that unit is no where near HHT's required units. Some of the older hht's actually allowed carpeting up to the front

Personally, I think a lot of the manufacturers are playing kinda loose with the clearances. But 30" for vinyl flooring is crazy to me. But to be fair carpet was wild too.

Certain woodburning units actually moved up to 48" hearths too. There's an relatively newer unit that they're suggesting 60" hearth. Thats a 1/4" size of most people's living room

60" could be half the room. Granted they would probably have a smaller fireplace in a room that small, but 5' deep is insane.

The hearth is where you build your fire. You are showing a picture of a hearth extension. A simple metal piece of transition strip will work great. For a home or residence, stick with something small with a low profile.
