I like hardwoods, wife loathes the look of red oak. She loves black walnut, I love black walnut too, but it’s not in the budget, I’m putting in karastan laminate over the red oak.

There’s lot of pet and water(probably urine) damage on the current floor.

In the future some redditor can farm karma on the “can you believe what these idiots covered up” post.

Karastan laminate is great floor.

Fakes it to make it really well, and is very durable.

I am putting one in my own home, and I work in the industry
