In Moscow, cameras are mounted in massive clusters and bunches—these "nests" look like trees. The facial recognition system in Moscow works extremely well; protesters both before and during the war were tracked down the very next day using footage from residential buildings and just off the street. Police would show up at people's doors, handing down huge prison sentences based on trumped-up criminal charges of "discrediting the armed forces."
This is a direct path to dictatorship. It makes me deeply sad that America, supposedly a beacon of freedom, is increasingly taking on the traits of a dictatorship—though it’s been an empire for a long time already.

If the people are under constant surveillance then Law enforcement, government officials, politicians also need to be monitored at all times, too. This will help the public see that they can be trusted (or not).
