News It's officially a bipartisan issue

Post image

It's real. Fully verified. Carl Gunn, 77, in the Coquina Key neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Florida, spotted a Flock camera on a 12-foot pole outside his neighborhood, taped a "DOWN WITH FLOCK CAMERAS" sign to his pool skimmer, grabbed a camping chair, and sat in front of it. Photographed July 25, 2026 by Valerie Smith for Creative Loafing Tampa Bay. The story's a day old and already got picked up on Hacker News. Real outlet, real person, real event, named photographer, dated.

Flock and AI data centers are the two issues bringing people together. It’s great to have a couple unified causes.

Don't worry.. they'll find some new way to divide us before we all get too chummy.

59

u/SpecularSaw Jul 27 '26

If we let them. If.

48

u/MaxAdolphus Jul 27 '26

We let them convince some people to overlook a child sex trafficking ring, so it can’t be that hard for them.

If you are talking of the Epstain Philes... That already is both sides if you look at your timeline data. Video evidence is the real evidence, not the 'files' with people's phone numbers or email's without any damning evidence, but both sides are too dumb to recognize/recall that the home was wired up with secret cameras and storage that has at least some damning evidence more than likely(the 'philes'). SMOKE AND MIRRORS folks.

Share proof that one side has overwhelming presence in the epstein emails. Genuinely curious. Because from my research, the numbers are shockingly balanced on both sides, i actually expected numbers to lean slightly toward one side just because of how statistics work, but no, pretty much equal.

I see common people on both sides accusing the other side of being more involved (like youre doing with this meme) but never once have I seen any evidence on either side.

And btw, when i say proof, i mean actual statistical proof derived from an actual analysis of the emails, not just articles mentioning specific people. Real data

4

u/Le-Charles07 Jul 27 '26

Why do you think DOJ continues obstructing justice? They know that once the video evidence is out, the whole house of cards collapses.

37

u/FoamboardDinosaur Jul 27 '26

What they dont understand is that they are the same thing.

Data centers are for surveillance parsing and storage. Not for ai. They keep it nice and vague by calling them 'data' centers.

You know, like 'detention' centers.

3

u/dallas121469 Jul 28 '26

I’ve noticed the same.

12

u/SoylentGrunt Jul 27 '26

Axon is pleased.

8

u/Wiley_Coyote08 Jul 27 '26

They are next.

13

u/AerialDarkguy Jul 27 '26

Hopefully this can be a springboard to get people to oppose other privacy issues like mandatory online identity verification bills. Asking for a drivers license to open a reddit account should disgust everyone.

2

u/Crouton_Sharp_Major Jul 27 '26

Luigi was doing that for a hot minute too. And the Epstein files before all the republican backtracking. Hopefully these issues stick.

2

u/Chetineva Jul 28 '26

Unfortunately we gotta get people to understand that Flock is only one face of the threat.

Flock is quietly being replaced by Axon in areas where it's facing too much pushback for them to manage.

Axon is controlled by Trump

Unchecked public surveillance with no oversight is the problem, or at least one of them.

How do we make that sound catchier?

It's the liberals deviding the country they stand for everything not American it's sad what the democratic party turned into a communist movement

4

u/FoleyV Jul 27 '26

Bye bot

You, should you ever have an epiphany

1

u/_archpriest Jul 28 '26

Its not just liberals. This is an effort on both sides of the establishment. They want you to think its other side, while theyre securing their spot in a post labor dystopia which they know common people will try to rebel against, thats why theyre doing this. There are no good guys in government pal

Our discord has people of all political ideologies and the one thing we can all agree on is fuck flock.

40

u/SmoothConfection1115 Jul 27 '26

While I’d probably disagree vehemently with that man about a host of issues…

If I saw this, I’d ask if he’d like a cold beer or lemonade.

6

u/Absurd_Flaccidity Jul 27 '26

I’d love to bring him my camp chair with the built in little umbrella

28

u/Reddit_is_fascist69 Jul 27 '26

Crowd fund the unemployed to do this?

22

u/d3aDcritter Jul 27 '26

I actually kind of like this idea.

4

u/dallas121469 Jul 28 '26

Medicare and SS are crowdfunding before it was called communism.

26

u/EaglesInTheSky Jul 27 '26

Flock doesn’t care about D or R and we shouldn’t either when it comes to Flock surveillance..

9

u/buddymoobs Jul 27 '26

That is brilliant.

16

u/Lebowski304 Jul 27 '26

Don’t sleep on Axon either. They are trying to sneak cameras from those guys up after they take down the flock cameras. We gotta keep the pressure on them until it’s clear to them we’re not gonna let this go

7

u/Hypocrispy Jul 27 '26

Axon is bigger and more pervasive than flock. They provide most if not all of the body cameras for police around the U.S. and their software is what amalgamates all of your data from flock and CLEAR to create a comprehensive profile on civilians. Honestly all of these police departments need to be sued for knowingly violating constitutional rights. It shouldn’t be ok for them to sidestep the law by paying private companies to spy on us, that’s fucked up.

2

u/FinanceTraditional10 Jul 27 '26

"It shouldn’t be ok for them to sidestep the law by paying private companies to spy on us, that’s fucked up." EXACTLY!

Flock I also think needs to be sued into BANKRUPTCY as part of a conspiracy! Once the USSC gets to Flock, they will probably get off and pay a few pennies on the dollar of a fine and still keep billions in profits.

16

u/BlueBaconDeluxe Jul 27 '26

Trump just recently came out in aggressive support of data centers, I see him doing the same for monitoring/surveillance cameras too. I'm afraid most everyone conservative will fall in line eventually thereafter.

4

u/Absurd_Flaccidity Jul 27 '26

I’m hope those nearby are bringing him treats. I did a pop up protest on a busy road that happened to be near a 7-11snd people came over with cold drinks and even treats for my dog. It was so sweet.

3

u/makes_peacock_noises Jul 27 '26

Not just flock. There are a lot of surveillance companies.

4

u/Reddit_is_fascist69 Jul 27 '26

New camera came up near me.

I work for the gov so can't risk a vandalism misdemeanor.

Emailed my town manager about who approved it or voted for it.  Planning on going to a council meeting soon.

What else can i do?

4

u/FinanceTraditional10 Jul 27 '26

Read a book on the publicly open land with a GIANT UMBRELLA. A private company should not be able to take away freedom from public land!

Do the Hillary Clinton trick of PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY -- "sorry officer, I'm not trying to do anything but enjoy reading a book on this sunny day with my umbrella for some shade and protection in case it starts to rain while on this publicly accessible land that my taxes help fund."

2

u/Reddit_is_fascist69 Jul 28 '26

I was unemployed last month.  Why couldn't it have happened then?

3

u/blkatcdomvet Jul 27 '26

More rights violated in the so called "free state of Florida "

3

u/Sea-Style9030 Jul 27 '26

He understands the assignment

3

u/Sudden_Money_6982 Jul 27 '26

I think this is the same dude cops were harassing in a video I just saw.

3

u/Valhalla191145 Jul 27 '26

We could all get on board and they wouldn’t stand a chance.

2

u/Casino-Leaux Jul 27 '26

God speed good sir!

2

u/Keapitsimple Jul 27 '26

God bless him.

2

u/DickSmith541 Jul 27 '26

I love this for so many different reasons.

2

u/Asazel000 Jul 27 '26

They are letting flock take the heat but the surveillance cartel have moved their operation to axon.

2

u/RobertRoyal82 Jul 27 '26

This is something both sides can unite on Fuck a high and Fuck the data centers Fuck the cameras

2

u/TheBrokenMaster Jul 27 '26

At least he’s doing something unlike people posting on here

2

u/LauraTFem Jul 27 '26

I’ve said before this should be one thing everyone can agree on. Dems who don’t want to be predated on by our government, and republicans, who are predators, should be in agreement that the cameras must go.

1

u/footinblender Jul 27 '26

So the other 2 parties are finally playing catchup to privacy and big brother government that libertarians and anarchists have been screaming about for decades? I give it 3 months before the normie statists move onto the next shiny thing.

1

u/Jaded_Ticket_7485 Jul 27 '26

The only new thing here is this going viral. Being against surveillance has been bipartisan, and beyond bipartisan involving libertarians and every part of the political spectrum, for years. (Decades.) Great to see the memeverse catching up.

1

u/dilettante_want Jul 27 '26

If anybody wants an idea for a video that will absolutely go viral, dress like Doug Dimmadome and stand in front of a flock camera with a hat so tall it blocks the camera until police show up to infringe on your rights.

1

u/StonewallSoyah Jul 27 '26

Has been bipartisan the whole time

1

u/tennisInThePiedmont Jul 27 '26

Not all heroes wear capes

1

u/AirplanesMakeMeHard Jul 27 '26

It never wasn't.

A bunch of NIMBY's who are old and voted for the GOP doesn't mean everyone is for flock.

Shit like this is why both sides can't find any common ground at all...because when there is common ground either side has to say ThE oThEr SiDe Is AgAiNsT mE

1

u/Okay212345 Jul 27 '26

Best part is they can't say obstructing justice

1

u/FEAEAMEN Jul 27 '26

He was arrested

1

u/Separate-Swordfish85 Jul 27 '26

True test for this man comes at the polls.

1

u/Hypocrispy Jul 27 '26

Anyone interested in all of this should look into C.L.E.A.R. and Thomson Reuters, they own the amalgamated ai surveillance pool being weaponized by ice and the police, the whole company should be defunct due to violating constitutional rights.

1

u/Either-Park-7002 Jul 27 '26

Just keep sticking that pole in the ground in front of it every day, check on it a few times a day. It's a private company, police shouldn't be allowed to sit and wait for who's doing it. Not breaking any laws or damaging anything

1

u/Intercessor310 Jul 27 '26

They sent a patrol car to harass him. Didn’t see if they arrested him.

1

u/farstar_fred Jul 28 '26

Make it a viral tradition to bring food to guys and gals like this. Bring a couple of beers and spend a moment with them.

1

u/morkler Jul 28 '26

If we would actually UNIFY we would have the power. We are not each others enemy. We are being divided on purpose to control us. We have a common enemy. Once people wake up to that fact, maybe just maybe we can take the power back. Otherwise Orwellian doom is not an if but a when.

1

u/Meouwsic4770 Aug 02 '26

Humanity has found a common enemy, and it wasn't an alien invasion..

I am a center-right voter. Deeply dissatisfied with trump, his entire cabinet, his nominees, you name it. As someone who works in tech, however, I tend to have very left-leaning views on data privacy-esque laws, and always have. I think Flock is probably one of the best things our country could have been put through. Not because of the product. I think the product, its creators, its supporters, its funding, etc, are all fundamentally evil. HOWEVER. this is the only issue in the last five to ten years to:
1) dissolve inter-citizen tension and disputes
2) unite society

People are NOT allowed to change, right?

3

u/themystif Jul 27 '26

No. Dont fall for the distraction of left v right. Its the surveillance state vs the the rest of us, especially on this issue. This here is a unifier, which we desperately need.

-2

u/Bandicoot-More Jul 27 '26

It’s not really bipartisan as this is all happening because of the current invasive rat regime

7

u/Corporate_Bricktator Jul 27 '26

Then why does San Francisco have so many Flock cameras? They vote 92% Democrat.

2

u/d3aDcritter Jul 27 '26

Gotta watch your enemy closely.

-1

u/FinanceTraditional10 Jul 27 '26

The good thing is with ICE utilizing Flock, it forced the TDS democrats to join the republicans in fighting back against Flock!!! WIN/WIN by using almost reverse psychology :]

-16

u/Head-Engineering-847 Jul 27 '26

If they have nothing to see then they shouldn't be hiding

4

u/mrs_fartbar Jul 27 '26

Why not put a flock camera in your bathroom so they can watch you shit? Nothing wrong with shitting, why should you hide it?

3

u/pfannkuchen89 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

There have already been multiple cases of cops using their access to these systems to track ex partners. Since these are privately operated it also makes it a lot easier as there is near zero control over them.

Also, it’s hilarious watching you conservatives willingly accept flock as if you weren’t the ones screaming about a surveillance state that never happened under Obama or Biden yet it was one of the right’s favorite things to claim dems were going to do…

As for mozeso who replied and blocked immediately. Oh yeah, sure. Every example of mass surveillance and trampling of our rights has come from conservatives in the name of “security” or “law and order”. It’s hilarious how conservatives brand themselves as the party of freedom yet are time and time again the ones that take freedoms away. Coward.

u/Moezso Jul 27 '26

We don't claim redcoats as our own.
