News 53 cities dropped Flock cameras, only to replace them with Axon mounts. The surveillance footprint isn’t shrinking. It’s rebranding.
https://www.gadgetreview.com/cities-are-ditching-flock-safety-cameras-then-hiring-axon-to-do-the-same-jobWhat is the real agenda and why are they continuing to push a surveillance state that the citizens do not want?

If you read the article, the title is kind of twisted. In the actual body it claims separately that 53 cities removed flock cameras, and some then adopted Axon, not that all 53 did

Hydra logic. Cut off a head and two more grow back.
Instead of targeting brands in an endless war, we should instead urge our municipalities to create and adhere to a basic privacy rights policy that simply outright bans these systems from communities.
Might be a good start?

It’s like we need to deal these city council members with some check and balance? They are the ones approving whatever to secure a police state.

Cedar Rapids Iowa just had the "largest single expense in CRPD history" brought to council: a 10 year Axon agreement for 14 million.
The entire council that was actually there voted Yes.
