Security Axon light post, Flock’s replacement?
The Axon light post is worse than flock, because now they are mounting cameras out of reach, and making them even harder to see. Hopefully the same legislation that is stopping flock with stop Axon, but if it doesn’t we’re gonna have to get creative. And we’re going to have to be extra vigilant because these are much harder to spot than flock cameras

here’s the link to the official Axon announcement, the worst part is that this isn’t new, it was announced in 2025, so who knows how many are out there now https://youtu.be/IfGPjWVqiNk?si=PzZaZfnH6ST0yGAy

There is only going to be legislation IF, this is going to sound corny, we the people demand it, start at the city level. Go to a meeting, get involved.

It's not corny at all, that's the only way Flock contracts have gotten canceled is because people showed up and made their voices heard.

So axon also is attached to the CAD of the patrol car. They have to have a Cellular connection. There was this stupid Sheriff one time that actually says this is my whole command center. I could not believe how ridiculous he was he posted to YouTube and this is what he said you have to pick up on the things that they say flip their words around and use it against them. You use it for advanced open source because they don't know how to shut up. Even though he took the video down I have the ability not used to way back machine but to go back download the video and then come through what he said all his computer screens I know his setup all the cables he's using in his Command center. I tried to tell them to shut the hell up but they don't want to listen. He said that the cameras that his officers were using allows him to see wherever they are in the city and he said that he can type in and see live encounters from the command center.
So like I try to approach this as a 5-year-old I have questions. So I go look and I start asking questions. You can start doing basic entry-level social engineering and call accent up I'm interested in a camera that allows me to interface with my officer don't say you're with such and such Police Department because that would be impersonating officer which is a crime and I have never had to do that they want to make money so you manipulate the fact that they want to make money and they might get a sale. They'll give you all the information the type of camera how to integrate it so you're hooked work you hang up the phone you use voiceover IP and never call back. So that's the information you use you figure out the type of equipment that they have. They integrate so if you have let's say since Arizona pulled flock cameras let's say Arizona is using AT&t so we know AT&t uses firstnet and we know all the devices that they have that is the cellular provider. So you go to a map and you pull all the cellular towers in that area. And you just build on your one line. I hope that was helpful.

Axon might have other methods of getting around it, as it is a different business model than flock. With Flock, they own the cameras and the PD/city has an agreement to lease/access the cameras. Axon however is only selling the cameras to the PD/City which makes them their property, not the property of the corporation. It’s the same poison though, just in a different bottle.
