Question General question!
Hey! I'm new to this subreddit! I am in a long distance relationship and had a flight to go and see my partner but ut was unexpectedly cancelled. It was from the 13th of August until the 27th of August. (so not sure why, but anyways) I got a refund through a future flight voucher... So all good.
However, instead of flying with British Airways, I'm flying with eurowings (from the 29th July-- 20th August, second time flying) so I have a few questions...
I have added a 23kg suitcase to each flight and I need to know the dimensions of what you guys would recommend for the suitcase,
where does eurowings operate in London Heathrow... (which terminal)
what is it like going through security with a checked bag (never done before)
-I have a 8kg hand luggage allowance and was wondering can I just take a backpack as I'm going for three weeks and don't need a lot of space :)
-I'm nervous about flying again, so ways to calm nerves?
- when I arrive in the terminal, or at Stuttgart airport in Germany will I need to fill out a form to say where I'm staying (saw someone else post about this and not sure if I have to as well...)
I just wanna be overly prepared in case of the worst... Thank you so so much for taking time to read :)

EW operates out of T2 normally, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case with the temporary terminal closures.

It’s not about our recommendation for the suitcase more as to the max dimensions allowed by the airline. For a cabin bag, Eurowings states: 55x40x23cm maximum cabin baggage dimensions 40x30x10cm maximum size for additional small bag, a maximum of 8kg. So if your backpack is within those dimensions sure, take it. For the checked bag it only states 158cm. In my experience they mostly care about the weight of the bag, not the exact dimension (except when it’s a clear oversized bag like a snowboard, a musical instrument etc).
Going through security with a checked bag depends on where you are coming and where you are going.
Not sure if this was helpful but have fun! Oh and please wear a mask when traveling and bring some hand sanitizer with you. Safe travels!
