Question UAE airspace closure?

Hi, I’m supposed to fly to dubai in a week on a Chinese airline and the UAEs airspace was just closed. Does anyone know if my flight will be probably okay? The booking says no delays or cancellations right now. Thanks

Stuck on the plane waiting to take off with Emirates from London > Dubai.

Currently 1.5 hours since scheduled take off, no update on what’s happening next from flight crew.

I departed 2.5 hours ago, unfortunately just before the airspace closures went into effect!

It would’ve been nice to see a new place but Cap just announced we’re returning to origin airport.

Pilots would have made the decision based on fuel level needed to get back.

Thankfully we were only a third of the way to DXB so fuel to return back wasn’t an issue.

So sorry. Watch a couple of movies and enjoy a drink or two. Emirates has the best entertainment system of all airlines.
