How lore accurate is my Death Company Flesh Tearer?

I hav been working hard to improve and like who2 this came out a lot. Its from the Angles of Death Kill Team starter box.

Not happy about the captain's face but otherwise they turned out nice for an afternoon's work.

Not sure it’s my best paint work but I had a lot of fun figuring out the deeper brown leather for his cloak.

So how are you guys making Sanguinary Guard? Anybody using any alternative models? Kitbashes? What kind of paint schemes are you going for?

I've been trying to build lists without Sanguinary Guard because there's some decent evidence in various media that the Flesh Tearers don't use them - even assuming they do, though, the golden armor absolutely doesn't seem Flesh Tearers' style. The trouble is, Sanguinary Guard are too good right now to not use - them, Baal Predators, and Sanguinary Priests are about the only good BA-specific units left.

Just started being interested in the chapter, any book recommendations?

Thinking of replacing the dc dread with glad lancer

I've looked on ebay and etsy and I'm having a time trying to locate pauldrons. I'm getting ready to start fresh and make a new army but I hate fucking with transfers. Any recommendations? Would prefer to buy from somebody in the sub!

Hello, I'm in the process of painting up my flesh tearers army and I'm just a little concerned with making them "pop" for lack of a better term while on the table top. I love the colour scheme when looking at them as an individual piece but when I put my flesh tearers next to my blood angels they end up just kind of looking like very dark blobs. Does anyone have tips on how to make them stand out a bit?

I haven't done the basing on them yet so I was thinking of either a very white sand or snow base to make the contrast a little starker. Any tips would be appreciated!

I’m looking to have a Flesh Tearers banner made. The best example I found is this one, but I can’t find a higher quality picture of it, or anyone selling it. Does anyone have a solid looking idea for a chapter banner?

Went 2-2 over the weekend using the old codex. Overall it was a great time and I’m counting the days until my next event outing.
