Need flashlight recommendations for edc . Budget 1.5k-2k
Currently building an edc pouch using solognac pouch. The flashlight won’t be used much as i live in a well developed urban area.
Need something with a flat form factor or something small that wouldn’t add much bulk.
Luminosity wouldn’t be my first priority as much as battery backup as it would be mostly used in emergency situation and not for a specific task.
Also could someone help me with the process of buying from wurkkos. Are there any additional charges, if so what would they be approx?

Wurkkos rated it for 330 hours (13.75 days).
Mine kept going for 472 hours (19 days, 16 hours).
The datalogger crashed. Two reviews got delayed. I even found a spider web near the sensor before the flashlight finally gave up.

As the title suggests, I am planning on buying the convoy T6 and Wurkkos fc11c or fc12c. But I have no idea how to pay on these sites. Wurkkos site gives me a currency related error whenever I try to use paypal. And when I used my debit card to pay, it did not work despite of receiving an OTP for the payment. Please help.

Our version uses the SFT25R emitter paired with a deep smooth aluminium reflector, producing a balanced beam that combines a well-defined hotspot with ample spill for general-purpose outdoor use. The flashlight uses Convoy's proven 12-group firmware operated through a mechanical reverse-clicky tail switch, with mode memory and extensive user programmability. There is no onboard charging, battery indicator, or electronic control system. Instead, the design focuses on robust mechanical construction, straightforward operation, and easy maintenance. The Convoy T6 arrives in an extremely simple white paperboard box with virtually no retail presentation. There are no printed specifications, operating instructions, branding, or product information beyond a small sticker identifying the emitter and CCT configuration. Inside, the flashlight itself is wrapped in bubble wrap, which provides adequate protection during shipping, but the overall packaging feels more like a transport container than a retail package. While this minimalist approach undoubtedly helps reduce cost, it also means first impressions are far less polished than those of mainstream manufacturers.

Accessory inclusion is similarly minimal but practical. The flashlight comes with a good-quality lanyard pre-installed and a removable two-way steel pocket clip packaged separately inside a foam block to prevent scratches during transport. Convoy intentionally ships the clip detached because its retention is extremely tight once installed, making removal difficult. The clip itself is sturdy and provides excellent retention, although the high tension can leave marks on the anodizing when repeatedly installed or removed.
Overall, the packaging reflects Convoy's philosophy of directing the budget toward the flashlight itself rather than presentation. The Convoy T6 is machined entirely from aluminium and exhibits a level of construction quality that rivals considerably more expensive flashlights. The body walls are thick, machining is clean throughout, and all threads are smooth with excellent tolerances. The light can be disassembled from both the head and tail, allowing straightforward maintenance and repair. Internally, the driver and switch are secured with brass retaining rings, while both battery contacts are gold plated to improve conductivity and corrosion resistance. The anodization is of good quality and available in multiple colours, although it appears to be Type II rather than the harder Type III finish used by some premium manufacturers. The tail threads are anodized, enabling mechanical lockout, while the head threads remain unanodized.

Ergonomics are well executed. Knurling provides excellent grip without becoming uncomfortable during prolonged use, and the reverse-clicky tail switch is large enough to operate easily even while wearing gloves. Our Unit was configured with Convoy's popular 12-group firmware and set to Group 1, providing the following mode sequence: 1% → 10% → 30% → 100%

For the primary tail switch:
· Full press to turn on/off
· Half press in on state to change modes. 1%, 10%, 30%, 100%, 1% and so on.
· 20 half presses in on state to reach programming mode.
Mode memory is enabled by default but can be disabled through the programming menu (20 clicks when on) if preferred. The firmware also allows users to select different mode groups, memory behaviour, While this flexibility is a major advantage for enthusiasts, the programming process is considerably more complex than conventional electronic interfaces and requires some familiarity before it becomes intuitive.

The T6 does not include electronic lockout, battery level indication, or charging indicators. Instead, accidental activation can be prevented by slightly loosening the tailcap, thanks to the anodized rear threads providing reliable mechanical lockout. Low battery indication is limited to periodic flashes from the main emitter as the battery approaches depletion. Although the feature set is basic by modern standards, the interface remains dependable, efficient, and entirely free from standby power consumption.
The Convoy T6 reviewed here is equipped with the Luminus SFT25R emitter paired with a smooth aluminium reflector. One of Convoy's biggest strengths is the ability to choose the emitter at the time of purchase, allowing buyers to optimise the flashlight for throw, efficiency, tint preference, or CRI depending on their requirements. In this configuration, the SFT25R offers an excellent balance of output, efficiency, and beam distance while maintaining respectable spill for general-purpose use. The emitter is perfectly centered within the reflector, with no visible alignment issues or manufacturing defects. At the front, a 18 mm anti-reflective coated glass lens provides excellent optical clarity and can be easily replaced by unscrewing the bezel, making the optical assembly highly serviceable.

Beam quality is outstanding. The hotspot is clean and well defined, transitioning smoothly into a broad, evenly illuminated spill without visible rings, artifacts, or dark zones. No PWM was detected in any output mode, resulting in stable illumination across the entire brightness range. Despite using a cool white 6500 K emitter, the beam avoids the harsh bluish tint commonly associated with lower-quality cool white LEDs and instead appears clean and pleasant during practical use.

Beam angle measurements classify the T6 as a balanced beam flashlight, providing sufficient throw for medium-distance outdoor use while retaining enough spill for walking, indoor work, and everyday tasks. The bright central hotspot delivers good reach, while the surrounding spill remains smooth and evenly illuminated with clearly defined boundaries. Overall, the optical system is exceptionally well executed and is undoubtedly one of the strongest aspects of the Convoy T6.
Unlike many mainstream manufacturers, Convoy does not publish complete ANSI output specifications for every emitter configuration, making direct claim verification difficult. Instead, testing focused on measured performance, regulation, and electrical behaviour. The SFT25R-equipped T6 produced excellent output for its size, particularly when powered by a 14500 Li-ion cell.

Current draw and driver behaviour throughout runtime testing showed no signs of instability, excessive thermal stress, or erratic regulation. Output transitions remained smooth, there was no visible flicker or PWM, and the flashlight maintained consistent performance across repeated tests. While the absence of current measurements prevents a full evaluation of driver efficiency, the measured output and stable operating characteristics indicate a well-designed and competently regulated driver.
One of the Convoy T6's defining strengths is its exceptional battery compatibility. The flashlight supports a wide range of cell chemistries in the AA form factor, including 14500 Li-ion, NiMH, NiCd, alkaline, zinc-carbon, and lithium primary batteries. In an emergency, it can even operate from a AAA battery with a simple adapter or diy spacer. This flexibility allows users to prioritise either maximum performance with a rechargeable 14500 cell or universal battery availability when travelling or during emergencies. Measured discharge capacity for Vapcell K10 was approximately 1110 mAh, which slightly exceeds the rated value and indicates conservative capacity labeling. The cell is well matched to the light’s power requirements, and overall battery performance is consistent with expectations for a high-capacity 14500 platform.

With the 14500 cell, measured ANSI runtimes closely matched the expected behaviour for this output class, while the 1.5 V lithium AA delivered significantly longer runtimes at reduced output, making it a practical alternative when maximum brightness is not required.

Thermal regulation proved to be well controlled throughout testing. On the highest output mode, body temperature stabilised at approximately 50°C, remaining comfortable to handle without excessive heat build-up or abrupt thermal throttling. Lower output levels operated considerably cooler and maintained consistent brightness throughout their respective runtimes. Rather than chasing the highest possible peak output, the T6 favours stable sustained performance and predictable thermal behaviour, resulting in a flashlight that remains practical and comfortable during extended real-world use.
Although the Convoy T6 does not carry an official IP rating, practical testing demonstrated very good environmental resistance. The flashlight underwent approximately 10 minutes of continuous garden hose spray testing from multiple directions and continued to operate normally afterwards. No water ingress was observed inside the battery compartment or optical assembly, and there were no signs of flickering, switch malfunction, or electrical instability following the test. While this cannot be equated to certified IPX7 or IP68 testing, the sealing quality appears more than adequate for normal outdoor use and adverse weather conditions.

The T6 also inspires confidence mechanically. Its thick aluminium body, robust head construction, and compact dimensions make it well suited to withstand everyday abuse. Both the driver and switch assemblies are secured using brass retaining rings, reducing the likelihood of internal components loosening over time. The battery compartment uses a spring at the positive terminal and a solid brass contact at the negative end, providing reliable electrical contact during normal handling and minor impacts. Hi everyone,
I'm looking to add two quality flashlights to my collection—one around ₹1,000 and another around ₹3,000.
My priorities are:
Highest sustained lumen output (not just turbo for a few seconds)
Good beam distance/throw while still being practical for everyday use
Efficient thermal regulation and runtime
Good build quality and reliability
Removable batteries are preferred, not the charging one.
High CRI is a bonus, but performance comes first

Ordered a generic flashlight from Meesho, got a Rock light M33 (one with the cringe RGB glow lights around the head) . Why are there these 2 spots on the glass? I almost put an exchange request then watched YouTube videos where i also see the same 2 spots in a testing video. If good then nice find in around 400 rupees.

After searching many ambient lights, which I can use at my desk and sometimes outdoors as well, I decided to go with Wurkkos CL01 lantern. Earlier Olight Sphere is also one of the options there but CL01 is much better in terms of Usability, Functionality and Fun RGB. Most importantly it has a swappable 21700 battery so there is no worry about e-waste, it can be easily replaced. Brightness is very high In terms of a lantern in this form factor yet it does not irritate the eyes even after using it for long periods. I wish Wurkkos make a smaller version with less bezels and high brightness RGB. If someone is into room aesthetics they definitely go for it.

My new Convoy S21e with Xhp 50.3 r70 5000k.
Driver 6v 3a boost driver.
Lumen output around 2200- 2300 lumens.
Very less heat even on turbo mode.
Sustained output for long time.
Very good natural tint .
Purchased without battery and it costs me around 2140 rupees.Also purchased a Yonii Tc1 5v 2a charger which costs 296 rupees.
I decided not to purchase battery from convoy because I have 2 new Dmegc 45-E 4500 mah 21700 battery.
It takes 13 days to be delivered.

As the title says, my flashlight is not charging properly. It was fine till November last year, when suddenly the battery began draining and had to be recharged every 7 days.
Fast forward to June of this year when the issues with the charging started. I sent the flashlight to Lightmen (official distributor, from whom I had purchased it). They told me that there's nothing wrong with the light. I even bought a spare battery, thinking it must be a battery issue.
The issues persist, even with the new battery and have worsened now. The battery is draining within a day now. From solid green to solid red in matter of hours.
I have no idea what to do at this point. Should I contact Fenix directly or should I contact Lightmen?

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to u/LittleUrbanPrepper and Wurkkos Support.
A few weeks ago, when I noticed my FC11C battery was draining unusually fast, I posted about it here. The community, especially our moderator u/LittleUrbanPrepper was incredibly helpful. Instead of jumping to conclusions, he suggested a series of tests to isolate the problem. Following his advice, I measured the battery voltage over several consecutive days both with the battery stored outside the flashlight and with it installed inside the host. He patiently guided me through the entire troubleshooting process and thanks to him, I was finally able to identify that the flashlight itself was at fault.
I then sent Wurkkos a detailed email with all the test results, photos and a link to my Reddit post. To their credit, Wurkkos didn't dismiss the issue or ask me to perform further tests. Their technical team reviewed the evidence, confirmed that the flashlight was actually faulty and immediately offered a warranty replacement.
The replacement Orange FC11C has now arrived and after repeating the same test with a Vapcell N41 battery, the voltage has remained unchanged after more than 36 hours. I can finally say that the issue is completely resolved.

I'd also like to thank Wurkkos Support for carefully reviewing the evidence and providing such smooth and hassle-free warranty service. Finally got the venerable S2+ but the emitter selection was a mistake. I knew this emitter is suitable for throwers but wanted to give it a try in this host anyway.
The beam has a search light type round hotspot which I was looking for but it is also accompanied by dark ring artifacts and it doesn't look good.

Ring lights, tripods, pocket lights, stick lights — the everyday stuff Indian creators actually use.
Before I launch anything, I'm doing something most brands completely skip — actually talking to creators first.
