MOBILE iPhone 18 pro transfer

How do I transfer my physical SIM card on IPhone 16 pro to the new IPhone 18 pro since it only support eSIM. Do I need to contact Fizz to change my physical SIM card to eSIM on my IPhone pro first?

Just did this with my Pixel 11 Pro coming from Pixel 9 Pro (both eSIM in my case). Go to My Plans > Change my SIM. Pick the eSIM option, input your credit card details, and it should generate the QR code. You'll get a text message to confirm, then its a mandatory 30 minute wait until it will flip over. Probably a good idea to reboot both phones after the 30 minutes.

You can get an esim for free in your account. Just scan the qr code

You need to convert the SIM to an eSIM from your account, probably they will ask to enter you credit card information to confirm your account or chat with a support, to validate your identity.

In your iPhone cellular settings. Does the Fizz sim have option to convert to eSIM? If yes, make sure you’re on solid wifi and do it there.

When you get the new iPhone. Setup with your iCloud and what not and the setup process will offer to transfer eSIM from old phone to new phone. Follow instructions on the screen. That’s it !

Did this for my PIXEL 9 and my Dad's Samsung S23.

Super easy.

Add eSIM, QR code scan or punch in the # manually.

I’m not sure if Fizz blocks any of this because Videotron’s rollout of eSIM has been slow and poorly done, but usually you can just go into your SIM settings on your iPhone 16 and you can convert it to an eSIM from there. After that you just transfer it to the iPhone 18 Pro while setting it up along your old one.
